  tis service 9 bus seems to use a different gearbox than the rest of VO3x's. from the sound & acceleration, it corresponds to the gearbox used by Tibs Volgren O405 Smiley Buses (note that it's slightly different from that used in Hispano O405's).

  Possibly a different version of ZF gearbox or even Voith or Allison?

  yup i believe it is a different version of ZF but it's unbelievable to find out that SBST tried out a different gearbox sparodically on VO3X's. the only other we noe is Volvo Mk3.

  hi guys:
  
  vo3x and hispano merc use same gearbox
  
  ZF4HP500
  
  althought most vo3x dun cat call or howl like the mercs of TIBS. i assure u peeps that soem vo3x do sound exactly like the merc of TIBS when shifting gears.
  
  one good example is 9249 on 197

  Volgren O405s use a turbocharged OM447hL engine while the Hispano uses OM447h

  what kind of engine does the SBST MB0405 use? coz the one on 294U (sv 159) seems perm in neutral gear

  Same problem as 9194R of Sv. 88, the gearbox is spoiled.

  9289B on svc 9 also have cat yell, if during the 2nd gear chnage the bus is accelerating fast enough.
