What do you think will happen to Services 22, 24, 28, 76, 80 & 93?
Sv 22 : Withdrawn. Duplicates Sv 65 & 24.
Sv 24 : Left untouched. Possibly the backbone of the line?
Sv 28 : Left untouched.
Sv 70 : Withdrawn. A service can be amended to ply AMDEP streets which Sv 70 currently plies.
Sv 76 : Withdrawn. Marine Parade part covered by Sv 135, Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 part by Sv 25, 55, 132, 165, 74....
Sv 80 : Withdrawn. Service 2 can be amended to ply Geylang East Central.
Sv 93 : Either withdrawn or cut to Bishan - HarbourFront. [/b]

Too many services at S'goon IMO, you'll be making the place like another Marina Ctr. Sv. 93 and Sv. 22 can come to Bishan. Sv. 24 should not be cut, it is highly popular and the stretch of AMK Ave 8 isn't served by CCL.Originally posted by service_238:either 22 or 24 will be cut short to serangoon.
28 shouldnt be a problem
70 most likely cut short to serangoon or integrate with 80.
76 might be cut short to serangoon or loop somewhere.
80 cut be integrated with 70 with SK - KOV sector deleted.
93..... no comments about it but i guess it'll be cut short to start from either serangoon or bishan
If you chop 70 the yio chu kang road peeps will come after you!Originally posted by leeJZ:No point having a new YCK - HBF route. Still duplicates CCL. Might as well chop the two and divert Sv 2 to Geylang East Ctrl.
Don't forget no other service goes straight from Tampines Ave 4 to Bedok Reservoir Rd. Cannot just withdraw just because there are ample service to cover certain sectors.Originally posted by leeJZ:Service 22 IMO should be withdrawn, all parts of the journey can be filled. From Tampines Int - Tampines Ave 4 you have Sv 293 / 68, Bedok Reservoir Rd to Ubi Ave 2 you got Sv 65 / 66, then from Paya Lebar Rd to Ang Mo Kio Int there is Sv 24.
Service 24 is much more popular than Sv 22, you can get bunched up buses due to good frequency all throughout the day. The DD incapable airport basement doesnt help much either.
Any point of having an AMK - SGN service?
No point having a new YCK - HBF route. Still duplicates CCL. Might as well chop the two and divert Sv 2 to Geylang East Ctrl.
Tampines Ave 4 to Ubi : 293 to Tampines Ave 5, cross road, take 65Originally posted by service_238:If you chop 70 the yio chu kang road peeps will come after you!
80 doesnt duplicate CCL in any way.
as for your 22..
what service goes from tampines ave 4 to ubi?
what service goes from tampines ave 4 to serangoon?
what service goes from ubi to serangoon?
what service goes from ubi to amk?
what service goes from bedok reservoir to serangoon?
what service goes from bedok reservoir to amk?
So by your logic, SBST should not have been allowed to cut Sv 81 as no service on Pasir Ris Dr 1 plies Bendemeer Rd?Originally posted by SBS9818A:Don't forget no other service goes straight from Tampines Ave 4 to Bedok Reservoir Rd. There are avenues for transfer in the case of Sv. 81, not the case for Sv. 22Originally posted by leeJZ:So by your logic, SBST should not have been allowed to cut Sv 81 as no service on Pasir Ris Dr 1 plies Bendemeer Rd?![]()

So rich arh? Got money to spend. Wait till you no more student pass then see how? I want my 22 and 24... but 22 can maybe divert into Bishan instead of going S'goon as no bus from Bishan to Bedok/Tampines.Originally posted by leeJZ:Tampines Ave 4 to Ubi : 293 to Tampines Ave 5, cross road, take 65
Tampines Ave 4 to S'goon : 293 to Tampines Int, transfer 81

Bedok Reservoir to S'goon : 8 to Paya Lebar Rd, transfer 158

The part(TAM ave 4) near BDK Resevoir rd will cause inconvenience to PAX if 22 is withdrawn/amended. 68 is a peak hour svc. Then passengers will start to complain. If possible, amend the center part of 22 journey. St hildas Sch pupils will have to squeese into 293 and 293 have to use DD/Bendy.Originally posted by leeJZ:There is an alternative -
293 / 68 to Tampines Ave 5, cross road and transfer to 65.
All those trips only involve a single transfer...quite normal.Originally posted by freakybuses:So rich arh? Got money to spend. Wait till you no more student pass then see how? btw, most people take 22 from Tampines all the way to AMK. This shows that it is essential.
btw do you all think that YCK Ter will be demolished as 70, 76, 162 are probably to vanish? This leaves 13, 72 & 825. These 3 services can be amended to AMK but 72 may need to do a big round to go past YCK Ter.
How do you explain if it's from Tampines Ave 4/Bedok Reservoir - Bishan? 22 sure faster if it's diverted. less than 40 mins.Originally posted by leeJZ:All those trips only involve a single transfer...quite normal.
From Bishan to Pasir Ris there is 53...to get to Tampines they can take 53 and transfer to 15 / 81 / 21 / 19. Bedok they can transfer to either 9 or 17 on Loyang Ave or go to the airport and take 24.
Some services can be extended from AMK to YCK to relieve the crowded temp interchange after 70 76 162 are possibly chopped.
And yes, 293 can get DDs IMO, loads can be comparable to 291.

Well, in rationalisations, you sometimes loose direct links to places. CCK / BBT / Jln TPY lost their direct links to the airport when 989 was chopped.Originally posted by freakybuses:How will you go to Tampines Ave 4 South(No 293 there, only 6to Bishan when 22 is withdrawn? Walk 3 bus stops then take 293, 81 and then 53? Actually, that will also create problems for residents of AMK. No direct links. And every AMKsians have the habit of no transfers as it's convenient now to go to the East, North, South and West. At most is they transfer to feeders. Withdrawal of 22 will cause people to lose links between Tampines, Bedok North and Ubi COMPLETELY! 24, 25 don't ply there. Btw, extending some services to YCK will cause more duplication of routes and YCK itself has lack of space too.
Transferring is a hassle. Just because you feel this service should be withdrawn doesn't mean PTC will think that way. They will only chop parts of a route that duplicates MRT lines, so I think Sv. 22 is here to stay.Originally posted by leeJZ:Well, in rationalisations, you sometimes loose direct links to places. AMK - TAM : 25 to Hougang Ave 3, transfer 72
AMK - PSR : 25 to Hougang Ave 3, transfer 81
AMK - Ubi : 24 to Paya Lebar Rd, transfer 8
AMK - BDK Nth : 25 to Eunos Link, take 87. Or cross road, take 15 or 21. Alternative 24 or 25 to Bedok, transfer to feeder.
AMK lost their links completely?? No.
btw Sv 16 cannot be amended out of Joo Chiat Rd because it is the only service that plies there.
