Even I must agree. As for Bishan and AMK we're stranded.Originally posted by freakybuses:Tampines and Bedok are more connected to the west than AMK.

Proves that Tampines has a nearby town to link to the west with more variety of routes and places to go in the West towns.
Stranded???Originally posted by SBS9818A:Even I must agree. As for Bishan and AMK we're stranded.
No, no, no cannot chop 22, only can amend its body, but not its head or legs, otherwise TAM & AMK PAX will cry!Originally posted by leeJZ:btw I think SBST would amend 24 to S'goon Ctrl and chop 22, or shorten it to TAM - MacPherson Estate.
We're stranded because we have poor direct links to the West.Originally posted by leeJZ:Stranded???![]()

You are also contradicting freakybuses' earlier statement at AMKians are used to going to places without transferring.
Tampines / Bedok lack fast links to the west. I dont think people would enjoy 70min rides on 7 32 33 at the very least...
Bishan and AMK is right in the center and you can just drop by SBST's megahub at Toa Payoh if you want to go anywhere...TPY is connected to just about everywhere...
btw I think SBST would amend 24 to S'goon Ctrl and chop 22, or shorten it to TAM - MacPherson Estate.
Take this.Originally posted by SBS9818A:We're stranded because we have poor direct links to the West.
Maybe divert into MacPherson then go CTE to exit as Braddell and go thru Bishan and AMK?Originally posted by sbs&tibs:No, no, no cannot chop 22, only can amend its body, but not its head or legs, otherwise TAM & AMK PAX will cry!
AMK pax have alternative Service 24, then a transfer to Service 8 to get to Ubi / Bedok Reservoir. Or if they want to get to the part of BDK RSVR not served by 8, can walk to Ubi Ave 2 from Paya Lebar Rd to catch 65. The AMK sector of 22 would not likely stay after CCL rationalizations.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:No, no, no cannot chop 22, only can amend its body, but not its head or legs, otherwise TAM & AMK PAX will cry!
Come on, stop inconveniencing others. You don't live there so obviously you won't know the exact situation.Originally posted by leeJZ:AMK pax have alternative Service 24, then a transfer to Service 8 to get to Ubi / Bedok Reservoir. If 22 is withdrawn, perhaps SBST could amend 21 to ply Tampines Ave 4 instead of Ave 5/Ave 1.
Dont forget CTE often jams up during peak hours, it would be better to ply Upp Serangoon Rd or Toa Payoh.Originally posted by freakybuses:Maybe divert into MacPherson then go CTE to exit as Braddell and go thru Bishan and AMK?
Don't say I never warn you, our friend will get angry when he see what you said. Just amend the body will do. I don't want to see any of us kenna 'killed' just because of the speech that shoots out of your mouth.Originally posted by leeJZ:If 22 is withdrawn, perhaps SBST could amend 21 to ply Tampines Ave 4 instead of Ave 5/Ave 1.
aiyah... best is divert into Jln Toa Payoh - Whitley Rd - Lornie Rd - Thomson Rd - Upp Thomson Rd - Marymount Rd - AMK Ave 6/3/8.Originally posted by leeJZ:Dont forget CTE often jams up during peak hours, it would be better to ply Upp Serangoon Rd or Toa Payoh.
I got direct Sv. 88, so much faster.Originally posted by leeJZ:btw the best way from BSH - PSR / TAM is 55 to Hougang Ave 3, transfer to 72 for Tampines or 81 for Pasir Ris.
Take 88 can liaoz... faster. But problem lies on 22. 22 passes thru many schools... about 15 schools or so. Those living in Tampines studying in my school will rather take 22 than MRT. Trust me. No one takes 969 to Tampines to Khatib and then take bus/MRT back to AMK.Originally posted by leeJZ:btw the best way from BSH - PSR / TAM is 55 to Hougang Ave 3, transfer to 72 for Tampines or 81 for Pasir Ris.
Very Longwinded...dont forget PIE (Jurong) has no slip road to Lornie Rd.Originally posted by freakybuses:aiyah... best is divert into Jln Toa Payoh - Whitley Rd - Lornie Rd - Thomson Rd - Upp Thomson Rd - Marymount Rd - AMK Ave 6/3/8.
Or just exit Whitley Rd and go Thomson Rd straight away?Originally posted by leeJZ:Very Longwinded...dont forget PIE (Jurong) has no slip road to Lornie Rd.
50 mins from house can reach liaozOriginally posted by SBS9818A:I got direct Sv. 88, so much faster.
Exiting Jln TPY you only can go to Thomson Rd (Keng Lee Rd), not Thomson Rd (Upp Thomson Rd).Originally posted by freakybuses:Or just exit Whitley Rd and go Thomson Rd straight away?
Why not take direct service 72? You are in Anderson Sec i presume?Originally posted by freakybuses:Take 88 can liaoz... faster. Do you mean cut short from AMK - SGN or TAM - SGN?Originally posted by service_238:A groups of my friends took 22 to their homes in Bedok Reservoir and Tampines just now from Lor Chuan area. I was happy to note that there's a direct bus to their home sweet homes late at night. It gives me less worries too!
Personally I feel that 22 is a good route but i think under CCL rationalisation, they will either
1. cut short to serangoon
OR
2. integrate with some other services.
22 is also the alternative from AMK to serangoon/paya lebar after 2300 hrs.
Note that the last bus of 24 is at 2300 hrs while 22 is 2330 hrs.
