Sights and Sounds of KL buses

Just came back from KL today, after staying for 3 nights at a hotel at Petaling St which is so close to all the bussie action in KL. Took plenty of pix too which i will upload later.
Basically, there are these main operators:
Intrakota Consolidated ( the largest and most plentiful )Uses the same validator as singapore
Metrobus ( 2 man operation )
Park May ( city liner )
Triton, famous for its lances and darts. Also run Putra and KTM Kommunter Shuttles
Sri Indah, KL-Kajang Express but uses Hinos
Transnasional wif its silver gleaming MANs to Klang
SJ Bus ( only saw one OH )
Selangor Bus
All are full AC except the last with some very old Merz NACs
Around the Chinatown area, the main bus terminus or bus stands are:
Kota Raya
Pasar Seni LRT station, which also houses the Klang bus station
Mydin department stall
Jalan Tun HS Lee
Bangkok Bank
Routes still compiling.....and oh one bus svc can be operated by a few bus operators, like svc 69 is operated by both Intrakota and Park may
MOst of the areas os. KL do not have bus stop. Ask the locals for the location or flag it like a taxi.
Fares typically range from 0.60to 1.60 RM for Intrakota, Park May
Metrobus from 0.70 to 2.00RM. Do note that fare hijacking by the driver is a rather common occurance. -
Threr's also Chow Kit bus stand along Jalan Ipoh near Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. Services 21A, 24A, 25A, 27, 32, 33 & 35 (IK) and 32 (Metrobus) end there.

Petaling St. This bus is making a U-turn thru the streets back to Jln Tun HS Lee where it will enter the Klang bus station for another trip -

Bangkok Bank. Here exists a shop that sells plenty of tidbits in wholesale amounts -
the 710 man bus mahcma look like plaxton pointer
and wiht the right colors the svc 28 bus will look like it has a custom coahces front

A nice cute little bus parked at the "Mydin" terminal in the morning. Interesting to se a training bus. Some routes such as svc 19 thru Kota Raya uses it, as well as the free shuttle to Bangsar LRT from Mid Valley Megamall. -

more than 20 yrs in msia and i've only taken a KL bus ONCE! personally, horrible.

A very common Iveco of Intrakota taken at the Pasar Seni LRT bus stand. I think its called Masjid something but i forgotten. Note the EDS display
Also, at the ter's control office, i saw their route guide for svc 22 pasted on the window. It looks exactly like the first SBST's guides, the colourful ones. In this case it was sky blue. -
This beautifully maintained MAN of Intrakota at Bangkok Bank terminal. I took it Batu Caves in the morning. DRB-Hicom body -
The instantly recogniseable Dennis Lance, both from sight and from its farts
Its layout is exactly the same as the PA lances in singapore, plastic desto. -

Triton can be found in jb.

Did you have a look at its registration number? very high odds are that you had chanced upon one of the triton's intercity express buses, and the rego starts with 'W' for a KL registered bus instead of 'J' that most JB buses have.Originally posted by bus911:Triton can be found in jb. -
A Dennis Dart of Triton. Note that its just a shortened version of that Lance. -

Although the buses were registered in KL they are definitely not the express buses. Triton Lances and Hinos have been seen serving routes within JB. This reminds me of the NAEILA buses which had services in KL, Negri Sembilan and JB.
