  965 - Sengkang to Yishun
  25, 74, 132, 165 - Ang Mo Kio to Hougang
  168 - Woodlands to Tampines
  39 - Yishun to Pasir Ris
  854 - Yishun to Hougang
  53, 55 - Bishan to Hougang
  86 - Ang Mo Kio to Sengkang
  136 - Ang Mo Kio to Kovan/Punggol

  966 from Jln Toa Payoh change to 23 at Jln Kolam Ayer to TAM is comparable with 238 and MRT
  
  In both ways, travelling time is 50-55min.

  hm.. ok mabbe comparable - depending on the time of the day.
  
  mrt: pasir ris to city hall about 35 mins, city hall to bishan about 20 mins.
  
  bus: about the same time, or possibly faster esp at night. (trains dont run faster at night do they?)

  On average it takes about 15 min from BSH to Serangoon Central and it takes 5 min from Pasir Ris Dr 1 - Blk 643 to Pasir RIs Dr 1 - Bef Pasir Ris Central

  not considering waiting time
  PSR to CTH is 27mins
  BSH to CTH is 15mins
  
  trains run faster during peak hours. however, that is only because they stop at the stations longer due to heavier pax movement. so in the end, the effective travel time remains the same. these are, from observation, roughly defined as:
  Mon-Sat, 7am-9am
  Mon-Fri, 1pm-3pm
  Mon-Sun, 6pm-10pm
  Sat, 1pm-4pm
  Sun, 10am-2pm
  
  buses do run faster at night. in fact, most buses run faster after 10pm. and the last bus should be a breeze to take.

  Depends on where you stay, If you stay along the NE corridor, NE line would be faster and obviously there is no other choices besides taking a cab.
