Yes. MK2s (Both DM and WA bodied) were used on service 170. They were all taken out after service 170 was converted to full AC service.Originally posted by leeJZ:Were Mk2s on 170 before Mk3s? 1894G still has the "No alighting at KTM bus stop" on top of the alighting door.
The cross broder 170 are only the Alexander PS ones, the DM ones never made it through the border .The DM ones and some Alexander ones served 170A , whlie the Alexander ones does the whole route (which there are very few full route 170 buses) and the shortworking one, Kranji to Larkin (which 170 has most of its buses doing this, then). Odd, I don't remember them roaming around services in 2001.Originally posted by gynobcard:after that the MK2s were dumped all over S'pore. went on 155, 229, 293, 19 etc etc. now most are back @ BBDEP/ARBP doing 151, 200 and some are @ AMDEP on 125, 186
268 got MK2s quite long ago... 3 years back on 2 occassions.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Odd, I don't remember them roaming around services in 2001.

and many others.
guess SBS replaced the aircon buses taken from these services with the MK2s temporarily
yeah, i remember being shocked at the sudden influx of NAC MK2 WAs @ Tampines Int. But they were soon transferred back to mainly BBDEP and dumped on svcs like 151 (151 was quietly converted into a PAC svc from a FAC svc)Originally posted by SBS9818A:Ah yes, I remember the Mk IIs on Sv. 3! Temporarily borrowed to replace Atlanteans, I think.Originally posted by gynobcard:yeah, i remember being shocked at the sudden influx of NAC MK2 WAs @ Tampines Int. Not just 151, 107, 125, 186 too got it.Originally posted by gynobcard:yeah, i remember being shocked at the sudden influx of NAC MK2 WAs @ Tampines Int. But they were soon transferred back to mainly BBDEP and dumped on svcs like 151 (151 was quietly converted into a PAC svc from a FAC svc)
The AMDEP services with Mk II still have them today. For example both 125 and 186 still have Mk II today, and 107 is now a HGDEP service.Originally posted by sbst275:Not just 151, 107, 125, 186 too got it.
All these 4 services were converted without passengers information notice. SBS thinking we thought that 151 was PAC all along. I got this from a stupid SBS reply.Originally posted by SBS9818A:The AMDEP services with Mk II still have them today. Anyway, not many passengers take these services. So it would have been futile in a sense. For Sv. 151, it's a student service and SBST like doing funny things to student service.Originally posted by sbst275:All these 4 services were converted without passengers information notice. But at least, there should have been a passenger notice right? For 151, I don't know as it was once FAC, then PAC, FAC and now PAC againOriginally posted by SBS9818A:Anyway, not many passengers take these services. So it would have been futile in a sense. The only notice when 151 was changed from FAC to PAC was in 1998.... the day when massive number of bus routes converted to either PAC or FAC. 138 changed to PAC on the same day as 151 and returned to FAC in 2001.Originally posted by sbst275:But at least, there should have been a passenger notice right? Later on in 2000, after a students complain saying it is a long bus ride yet there is no comfort so SBS decided to convert it to FAC on the 1st day of school. That complain was in a chinese evening paper.Originally posted by freakybuses:The only notice when 151 was changed from FAC to PAC was in 1998.... the day when massive number of bus routes converted to either PAC or FAC. 138 changed to PAC on the same day as 151 and returned to FAC in 2001.
That I remembered, there were 3 phrases with many services affectedOriginally posted by freakybuses:The only notice when 151 was changed from FAC to PAC was in 1998.... the day when massive number of bus routes converted to either PAC or FAC. 138 changed to PAC on the same day as 151 and returned to FAC in 2001.
Some of the MK2s were also roaming around on 220 & 290 before the merge of these 2 svs. It was perm on 38 for a short while before it was gone. 1 of them ever cameoed on 31.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Ah yes, I remember the Mk IIs on Sv. 3! Lasted for a while.
