Seems like AMK, BIS and TPY services are still good.... anyway, just wished for a north west service from AMK and BIS.Originally posted by sbst275:Low demand rts
Totally: 11, 35, 40, 79, 82, 101, 103, 125, 191
Off Peak only: 6, 90, 91, 92, 94, 103, 107, 119, 200, JIS, 354*, 400*, 403*, 506
Is this list correct?
I would then go on to profitable list
depends on the time frame you are talking about. some of the svcs have a high demand during peak hours, low at times. others have average demand throughout the day. then there are the super high demand routes throughout the day.Originally posted by sbst275:Low demand rts

Look at my quote, it is dividedOriginally posted by gynobcard:depends on the time frame you are talking about. some of the svcs have a high demand during peak hours, low at times. others have average demand throughout the day. then there are the super high demand routes throughout the day.
IMO, totally low demand routes are 191,194, ex 378, ex 379, 401
Is it during holidays or normal weekdays?Originally posted by leeJZ:403 demand is actually quite good, comparable to 29, but SBST likes to screw its deployment up, lines are often quite long and once even overloaded trip.
usually weekends and PHs, that's when pax go to PSR parkOriginally posted by sbst275:Is it during holidays or normal weekdays?
The overloaded trip was on a Saturday late afternoon, but demand during weekdays is still reasonable because its the only service serving Pasir Ris private estate.Originally posted by sbst275:Is it during holidays or normal weekdays?
103 demand is not too good since the cutback from NBR, it serves only private estates off YCK rd and the Seletar camps, which do not have very high pax base.Originally posted by sbst275:Look at my quote, it is divided
194 is high in demand on holidays. * means high on weekend or holiday seasons. 103 is low in demand?
Once I get all info, I will revise it.
82 should infact be cut back to Punggol Int and convert to feeder. Serangoon - Punggol sector rather redundant.Originally posted by sbst275:Good, I'm actually a person complaing to SBS on such matters
82 and 103 are on my list. They repiled to me in a stupid manner
"82 and 103 although has a average demand, it is evenly spread (Passenger volume) and so it is FAC" "However, we will be reviewing the demand and take the necessary action when needed"
Then there will be no bus to Punggol BeachOriginally posted by leeJZ:82 should infact be cut back to Punggol Int and convert to feeder. Serangoon - Punggol sector rather redundant.
103 has to stay, only service in Seletar Camps.
Cut back to Punggol - Punggol Rd End feeder service.Originally posted by sbst275:Then there will be no bus to Punggol Beach
For totally or off peak only section?Originally posted by tranquilice:Add in service 186.
Good in a sense that they stagger the freq so that more pax are in a bus.Originally posted by leeJZ:403 demand is actually quite good, comparable to 29, but SBST likes to screw its deployment up, lines are often quite long and once even overloaded trip.
For weekday off peak, 403 demand is damn low.. I think pax would prefer taking 358 than 403Originally posted by gynobcard:usually weekends and PHs, that's when pax go to PSR park
for weekdays (correct me if i'm wrong), 403 serves as an alternative to 358 to Elias Rd
Saturday Afternoons after 1630 hrs is BOOM time for 403.Originally posted by leeJZ:The overloaded trip was on a Saturday late afternoon, but demand during weekdays is still reasonable because its the only service serving Pasir Ris private estate.
Demand is ok although it doesnt usually reach full seating cap. However, this service connects YCK Rd residents to places like Blk 953 Hougang, Yio Chu Kang Rd near Serangoon Gdns and also Serangoon MRT Stn.Originally posted by leeJZ:103 demand is not too good since the cutback from NBR, it serves only private estates off YCK rd and the Seletar camps, which do not have very high pax base.
You must be nuts. 82 serves as a school bus and a inter-town bus service for the North East peeps. It provides Kovan - Hougang Ave 10 link, Kovan - Punggol Rd link and also Hougang Ave 10 - Punngol Rd link too. Many pax like to take 82 along Punggol Rd and Hougang Ave 10. I think it would be advisable for u to do some homework before u post.Originally posted by leeJZ:82 should infact be cut back to Punggol Int and convert to feeder. Kovan - Punggol got alternative service 136. Kovan - Hougang Ave 10 has alternative services 112 and 80. Hougang Ave 10 to Punggol pax can take service 62.Originally posted by service_238:You must be nuts. 82 serves as a school bus and a inter-town bus service for the North East peeps. There is only 82 serving the entire stretch of Punggol Road at least 95% from Kovan. PAC status should be reasonable or make it like 10 minsOriginally posted by leeJZ:Kovan - Punggol got alternative service 136. Kovan - Hougang Ave 10 has alternative services 112 and 80. In that case name me a DIRECT bus (other than 82) from Upp Serangoon Rd (Kovan Stn) to Punggol Rd (Blk 227D) & (Blk 231)Originally posted by leeJZ:Kovan - Punggol got alternative service 136. Many people prefer 82 you say but why 136 can support LO 3X during peak hours and 82 cannot?Originally posted by service_238:In that case name me a DIRECT bus (other than 82) from Upp Serangoon Rd (Kovan Stn) to Punggol Rd (Blk 227D) & (Blk 231)
In case you didnt know many pax prefer 82 than 136 partially because its more recognised in the north east and also better frequency.
And one more thing.. I'm talking abt parts of the route that the route cover, NOT point to point alternatives.
And for your info, no other service plies the entire stretch of Punggol Rd (except the Punggol MRT section)
136 caters to MORNING school students and also to please the SJC principal.Originally posted by leeJZ:Many people prefer 82 you say but why 136 can support LO 3X during peak hours and 82 cannot?
Is demand for 82 really high from Kovan to the part of Punggol Rd you mentioned?
88 plies the entire stretch of Punggol Rd that is not in Punggol.
136 serves students, it duplicates with 119 as the latter 90% duplicates 136 rt. 82 demand is average IMO but is the only bus from Kovan to entire Punggol RoadOriginally posted by leeJZ:Many people prefer 82 you say but why 136 can support LO 3X during peak hours and 82 cannot?
