Took note of this. But Toa Payoh stretch is also quite crowdedOriginally posted by tranquilice:High demand stretch is between Orchard and Teban Gardens.
It doesn't really have high demand between Jurong East and Teban Gardens as there are alternative services 78 and 79.

Think bus 200 is super low demand, if u want to travel from MOE Buona Vista to pasir panjang, and suai suai u saw the bus leaving as u run like mad from the pedestrian bridge, Damm! u have to wait for at least 30 mins for the next. Sometimes SBS(Super Bug of Singapore) say all this routes are low in demand, they reserve the rights to control the frequency and i think itz TOTALLY BULLSHIT! Why not they let the private bus operator to run it rather than "hogging" the line and give commuters a major headache?!

For 852, I will look into this and adjust accordinglyOriginally posted by freakybuses:169 got quite a number take from AMK - Woodlands Ind Est.
btw, in reply to earlier post about 852, the demand from AMK - Bt Batok is rather high as MRT is slower in this case.
Explain the 238 demand in detail. I'd love to hear itOriginally posted by sbst275:232: Feeder
238: Feeder*** (Alt trip during peak hr low)
Say the 1st trip, it will be overloaded. The behind trip will have lots of seats and the cycle will repeat againOriginally posted by service_238:Explain the 238 demand in detail. I'd love to hear it
for 232, demand is rather the same on all sectors, highest in demand on a trip is between Braddell MRT to Braddell MRT via Lor 7 Toa Payoh.
Slightly lower demand from Braddell MRT to Toa Payoh MRT.
232 doesnt tally with your feeder demand in general.
But SBS wants to earn profitsOriginally posted by leeJZ:112 and 113 should be converted to townlinks, the second loop (after say 112 completes the St 21 loop) it should stop the bus stop outside the interchange, like 222 does.
btw is 291 and 293 the only two townlinks to have both loops starting from the interchange?
hold your horses man..Originally posted by sbst275:Say the 1st trip, it will be overloaded. The behind trip will have lots of seats and the cycle will repeat again
As for 232, it is overcapacity, demand v low and brunching occurs
For 232, it is not overcapacity, rather it is undercapacity. Other services like 8, 26, 31, 90 are very packed while this 232 is very empty.Originally posted by service_238:hold your horses man..
for 232, brunching seldom occurs, and if it does, it will occur just after Braddell MRT. sometimes freq then will be as good as 3-4min.
Overcapacity? Show me a fully loaded trip of 232. PIctures will do
as for 238, that was in the past and it seldom happens now. On top of that, this will happen if that indian driver is the former and the chiongster driver, the latter.
For trips towards the interchange, the 238 buses have spaced out just nicely so that brunching seldom occurs and what you say seldom happens.
For trips from the interchange, it usually happens during the evening peak. However, due to monitoring by the green martians, the drivers control their own departure times and do not depart the interchange until its reasonably full.
Your statement for 238 DOES NOT apply after 8pm. Cos almost every trip is at full capacity and the next one applies.
If you want to argue more abt my service, feel free to do soi can give u a trip by trip analysis if u want.
I think u see 232 from the Toa Payoh MRT bus stop ah? U go over to Toa payoh Lor 7 (Blk 1Originally posted by sbst275:For 232, it is not overcapacity, rather it is undercapacity. Other services like 8, 26, 31, 90 are very packed while this 232 is very empty.
For Sv 238, thks for this info. BTW, I did not talk abt aft 8pm as demand is high except return trip. What happened now, I still do see empty trips during peak as well (Occasionally though). BTW, do they have fixed timetable now?
Only that stretch? I actually complained abt brunching bef, it is very irritating when the buses arrive are empty. They have adjusted frequency to 8-10 mins (Which is quite comfortable).Originally posted by service_238:I think u see 232 from the Toa Payoh MRT bus stop ah? 238 always have a fixed timetable. Its just that last time the drivers suka suka depart during evening peak. For now, they pace between themselves. I guess the green martian have briefed them abt it.
NOW i know who's the one behind the long waiting time of 232Originally posted by sbst275:Only that stretch? I actually complained abt brunching bef, it is very irritating when the buses arrive are empty. They have adjusted frequency to 8-10 mins (Which is quite comfortable).
Wait till I come with IBS Service 237
They actually adjusted when I complained, they were in fact reviewing the TPY feeder services at the same time. They also assured me that the aircon bus deployment is not abused as 231 demand is way too low with sometimes only 1 passenger when other services needs it. 231 too have 1-14 mins frequencyOriginally posted by service_238:NOW i know who's the one behind the long waiting time of 232![]()
er as far as i know 231 doesnt have brunching all day. and another thing is that 231 doesnt have headways more than 10 min during off peak (except SUPER off peak)Originally posted by sbst275:They actually adjusted when I complained, they were in fact reviewing the TPY feeder services at the same time.
