MK3 LAH. 2722 and 2746 are MK5! MK3 is the one that has only DM body!Originally posted by leeJZ:did you see the stickers on the bus or are they just cameos? I still saw 2722 and 2746 yesterday (plus 1 of svc 28's VSOs).
154 has MK3 aft LO2x was retired. Now a NAC Mk2, MK3, MK4, MK5 takes its place. The NAC Mk2 sometimes is replaced by a VO2x from SLBPOriginally posted by ^tamago^:462B on 162 (am sp) replacing 2803M
2803M on 131 (am 162)
1741P on 147 (ar ex-285)
1134Z on 851 (am 67)
7278X on 74 (i'd never seen tis VO2x before on 74.)
810E on 154 (first time i saw Mk3's on 154 and surprisingly it's perm)
can you read properly or not?Originally posted by sbst275:MK3 LAH. 2722 and 2746 are MK5! MK3 is the one that has only DM body!
813 is one of them which takes effect TODAY and not yesterday. Whether are they cameos can't be answered as yet as the MK4/MK5 has disappeared from Sv 8. Another thing is that there are lesser double decks on Sv 8 as well - Getting lesser
That VSO was empty when I saw it at Macpherson Rd yesterday. Driven by a female BC

I STILL saw Mk5s on svc 8, not a full Mk3 fleet as you claimed.
The DD fleet is not getting lesser, still the same old thing. 3 LOs and 3 VOs.
last year is already more than 9 months ago....Originally posted by sbst275:You said yesterday not today, Monday. Write properly
No, last year, there was more than 10
Why not? When 82 and 107 got double deck in 2001, it was a sudden changeOriginally posted by leeJZ:last year is already more than 9 months ago....
I said yesterday, BUT there is not going to be a sudden change in such a short notice.
Trying to confuse people? i think u areOriginally posted by sbst275:You CLEARLY said YESTERDAY not today, Monday. Write properly. Trying to confuse people, need me to show you what was the actual piece?
No, last year, there was more than 10
1) this is because they needed DDs, there is no reason whatsoever to change svc 8 to full mk3.Originally posted by sbst275:Why not? When 82 and 107 got double deck in 2001, it was a sudden change
This has to wait until whether TP is going to start a shuttle service from Tampines MRT. By then, Sv 8 frequency will not be that good already as along the rt, it is facing compeition as well... Look at its loading at Paya Lebar - Toa Payoh stretch it is very lonelyOriginally posted by leeJZ:Trying to confuse people? i think u are
i daresay svc 8 will not become full Mk3 because it is one of SBST favorite services.
look, nobody takes svc 8 from TP to Tampines Int, everyone takes svc 23.Originally posted by sbst275:This has to wait until whether TP is going to start a shuttle service from Tampines MRT. Have to see as 813 is not a SP at BNDEP as well.Originally posted by leeJZ:1) this is because they needed DDs, there is no reason whatsoever to change svc 8 to full mk3.
2) Today's fleet (if true its full Mk3) is probably cameo.
3) If it is true Mk3 is now perm on svc 8, what are they going to do with svc 8's mk4 fleet? SBST is not fond of using mk4s are heavy utilized spares (which the mk3s are).
4) svc 8 DOES need DDs. And it DOES have demand if SBST sees it fit to deploy them at 5min per bus from both Tampines & Toa Payoh during the morning peak.
if you claim svc 8 is making a loss @ PYL - TPY, why no SWTs?Originally posted by sbst275:Have to see as 813 is not a SP at BNDEP as well.
MK4 may be going to oth services, I'm not surprised as SBST is adjusting its fleets now. You can see Scanias at 145 quite regularly now also.
The MK3 today stands at abt 5, it is quite sudden
The 6 mins frequency is because you can't have buses going back empty to Tampines for no reasons as there are still passengers, then they are making a complete loss unlike industrial services like 90, 91, 94, JIS.
I'm not complaining, there are tons of passengers complaing of this to CRC which my friend is tired of it. Also as what I have said before, SBST dun listen to just 1 complain overall. They have to see whether is it true.Originally posted by leeJZ:look, nobody takes svc 8 from TP to Tampines Int, everyone takes svc 23.
and for your info, svc 8 is the only link from TPY to Ubi, and it is a faster link to paya Lebar than svc 28.
go and complain about something else like svc 97, on weekends you can have the whole upper deck to yourself fo the whole trip.
svc 90 freq is shit on weekends and at night.Originally posted by sbst275:I'm not complaining, there are tons of passengers complaing of this to CRC which my friend is tired of it. Also as what I have said before, SBST dun listen to just 1 complain overall. They have to see whether is it true.
At Paya Lebar, ya that's the only choice but at Macpherson, there is 90 and 90's always arrive 1 min earlier than Sv 8 (Dun know why).
At Jln Toa Payoh, there is 3 others, 26, 31 and 142. In fact, the buses just overtake each other at the 2 bus stops
I didn't want to kick a fuss as I have my idea you have yours.Originally posted by SBST390:Chill brothers... no need to get agitated over this right?? It is the love for SG buses that brought us together.
It's either we buy ideas or not... if we dun wanna suscribe, then just dun reply... there is no need to make a point.
To SBST275, it does get a bit irritating if one continuously harp on a certain subject. there is no wrong championing a particular point but perhaps know where to stop is the key... I certainly do not want to be pelted with rotten eggs by the brothers here just because I was to campon the point that I want All the VSOs to pass by my house. Many issues are beyond our control.
