I have one today. I was booking out, because I can't walk fast or run because of my back problem. This bus 103, SBS486 stopped at the bus stop just before I get to the bus stop. I kept waving hoping the bus driver wait for me, the others passengers saw me . Before I knew it, the bus driver closed the door and drove ff . Usually the bus will stay there for about 2-3 minutes but this time, the driver decided to drive on without looking at his rear mirror.
How about you guys ? -
I don't think this is a complaint, but some kind of things I want to say.
I don't think JIs deserve VO mk2 buses. I think they should get scania non aircon buses instead of mk2. It is ok to leave some there at SLBP. I would rather see mk2 on BNDEP svcs. Most preferably are CAC MK2s. -

Mk4 Striders and Mk3 JBs are quite bearable, I'd take them over a normal Mk3 anyday, but of course DM3500s are still the best
Go and transfer all the Mk3 and Scania OAC to JIS. Must as well take some powerful Mk2s and nice Mk4 DM3500s from them in exchange
The DAF is still quite a nice bus, despite it being damn slow and ugly. At least interior is still good, not like normal Mk3 or Scania OAC when interior sucks exterior sucks also. Infact, I'd take it over a boring Hispano Merz (which SMRT seems to have uncountable numbers of) anyday.
btw off topic but despite SLBP having large numbers of DM3500s, it seems that 66 105 get most of them while 51 gets a small number. Not spread out like BN/HG/AM. -

Asked Tibs to extend service 184 to Woodlands but instead it gives me service 963.
And I still don't forgive SBST for shortening service 10. -

Mark 3s , Scania OAC (SBST) and LO 3 axles . I hate these buses. -
Well, you might hate some buses due to their performances, etc. This is because of poor maintenance by bus companies, etc. However, good buses do exist. Also, buses that are being 'blacklisted' here might not be that bad. I am sure that it's the way how one percepts about the pros and cons of those buses.

Speaking About the dumb OAC Scanias, there is one worst one in the SBST fleet. SBS 65 P on sv 157. There are a million tiny flying insects at the back and there are sometimes moths flying around. The vents are leaking during rainy days. I got splashed once while sitting at the last secongd seat. how about the early buses? those 1st or 2nd buses of the morning...
how come they must crawl into the interchange.. i bet people can walk as fast as the buses are moving sometimes...
get pissed off coz i work shifts and the morning shift, i take 97 or 197 to Jurong East... they'll start driving really really slowly once they past that crest.. and then slowly crawl to the interchange...
some even slow down at the traffic light and crawl to the intersection, just to get stuck at the red lights..
why? -

They are ahead of schedule, maybe due to low pax movement. The timesheets for SBST give quite alot of time to the drivers to complete the route in case of traffic lights, heavy pax movement, etc etc.Originally posted by the Bear:so, they were speeding in the earlier part?

The worst thing is that some drivers take their own sweet time and drive like a snail along the expressway. It can be very pissing if you are in a hurry or something. A fully packed single deckbus came and you are one of those who are unable to board and have to wait for the next one. The frequency of each bus is around 20 mins and the worst thing is most of the DD buses you see on this same service going towards opposite direction are back to back . The next bus that comes is also a single deck which is just as pack. <- No prize for guessing what bus service I am refering to.
This is very common. -
bus number 15 always makes me wait for such a long time, regardless of whether its during peak or off-peak hours!

Sometimes things are beyond their control(SBST & SMRT),But i had to agree only a handful drive like a snail.Anyway we must understands that they had to attend ten of thousands of complains,Suggestions & other stuffs.AFAIK,Suggestions or complains that benefit both parties would be the first to their acknowledgement.It is not easy running a public transport bussiness as they can't pleased everybody let alone unconcrete complains.

I always go to east coast , so i take 162 to dhoby ghaut to take a free shuttle bus to marine cove. I dun understand, 162 in the afternoon crawls like a snail. On my way back, the bus is like, well, almost FLYING. Had a few near misses somemore. Why is this happening at night only?
