i did have a crazy idea when i was real young.. cuz i saw double deckers and bendys on the road, i once dreamt of a "double bendy" = dd + bendy.. but when i re-think nowadays, it's not safe to have such designs because you can observe the back of the bendy, u can observe the top deck, but the bus captain's unable to observe all 4 parts of this "double bendy" securely.. also not design viable.
For some reason 158 always have problems keeping up to time when they arrive at the interchange.Originally posted by MooKu:So many times already!
Today I waited at Serangoon Bus Interchange for 20 minutes and the driver for Bus 158 was not in sight at all!
When I alighted from the bus that took me to the interchange at 7.55pm, one of the 158 buses had just left the interchange. I took a look at the TV screen and it said the next bus would depart at 8.10pm. Fine...
But I waited... and waited... and waited... at 8.15pm yet there was nobody in sight.
I was feeling unwell, and couldn't wait anymore so I left the bus interchange and took a cab opposite the bus interchange. When I got on the cab at 8.20pm, the bus just left the interchange.
And then this is not the first time the bus is behind the scheduled time for departure.
I remember there was once it was more than 10 minutes past the departure time already. One bus driver walked towards the berth and a look at his actions and expression told that he was looking for the bus driver who was supposed to have driven the already-late-bus.
Seems like they are not very punctual.
Well.. Living in Serangoon.. ive kinda got used to this already.. 158 is not the only service... 100 is also 1 of them.. sometimes, if you go to Serangoon Interchange at roung 7 plus in the evening, you will find that none of the 100 bus is in sight.. this is because, there us alwayz a jam over at Sims Ave.. in the evening... 158 also pass by that rd.. thats why it is also affected by it.. 100 is not so bad as after Sims Ave, its quite smooth after that.. but as for 158, other sims Ave, 158 it still have to pass by Upp Paya Lebar Rd.. another famouse Jam area.. due to the construction of Circle Line and KPE.. thats why 158 and 100 have problems keepin up to their timetable..Originally posted by service_238:For some reason 158 always have problems keeping up to time when they arrive at the interchange.
U sound like it got worse ever since hgdep took over ops from amdep.
Yep I noticed that too..Originally posted by service_238:For some reason 158 always have problems keeping up to time when they arrive at the interchange.

I dont think you know Serangoon Well Enough Bahx.. ? 1st, people staying in Serangoon who wants to go to City wil take the NEL instead.. for service going into City, Service 100 is the Service to the City.. for the routes serve by 158 and 100.. theres only 1 area that are serve by both 158 and 100.. that is GeyLang.. reason being is that most pax takes 158 from Aljunied MRt to Circuit Rd.. whereas for 100, most pax would take from Aljunied MRT to Upp Aljunied Rd... 81 is not the only bus is serving NOrth of Serangoon.. there is also 82(Punggol/SengKang area),103(Seletar area.. The only bus to that area..) and 101(Hougang/BungKok area).. as for service like 70, 22 and 53.. for your info.. 70 will proceed straight after Serangoon Central and uses Yio Chu Kang Rd.. 22 will turn Left to Boundary Rd/Lor Chuan/AMK Ave 1n and stops at AMK Interchange.. for 53, after AMK Ave1, it turn into Bishan Rd then proceed to Bishan Interchange.. So.. i dont its right when you say that all buses proceed to the same area.. yA.. i admit that 53 and 22 do have the same route from Serangoon Central to AMK Ave1.. but.. both buses serve different kinds of 'Market".. 22 for those going towards Tam.. 53, for those going to/fro Airport... Well.. 1 last thing.. other than 100 serving the city, there is also service 147 and 107 which serve City Areas as well...Originally posted by MooKu:Yep I noticed that too..
Most of the time when I get to the interchange, there's one or none 158 buses in sight.
But yesterday, there was ONE bus and NO driver.
The service has trouble keeping up to time arriving at the interchange AND leaving the interchange.
And I really think they should do something to the bus services at Serangoon Interchange. Most of the buses there go to the same areas like Ang Mo Kio and Yio Chu Kang. And 100 and 158 they go to roughly similar areas too. The only bus that goes to another part of Singapore is 81, and I think one is not enough. Maybe they should have one that goes to the city area so Serangoon can be more accessible by bus.
Heehee that's right... I don't know Serangoon very well.Originally posted by sBs_boy:I dont think you know Serangoon Well Enough Bahx.. Nope.. Serangoon already have 81 serving Tampines.. rite now, the Interchang's Capacity is just nice.. there have been news that Serangoon Interchange will be rebuilt.. because of the Circle line coming up..Originally posted by MooKu:Heehee that's right... I don't know Serangoon very well.
Didn't notice they had two buses prowling the city area.
But they could have more services! There are so many empty berths in the interchange.
Maybe one more service travelling between the Eastern side of Singapore (like Bedok would be good! heehee) and Serangoon would be nice.
Load has dropped after its route was shortened to Marina Centre, under NEL rationalisation phase 2.Originally posted by SBS9800A:Does anyone knows the reason why Express 502 now only have single deck aircon no longer have VSO or even LO3?![]()
Before it was shortened, it was considered as a Express service because it plied CTE. But now, skipping some bus stops along the route, can call it Express?Originally posted by disappear:Express 502 is really express meh![]()
I've ever suggested turning 502 into a trunk route, but SBST said that the matter was under consideration. Definitely, their seats often got spoiled. Worse SBS route.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Sv. 88 is super terok. They deploy single-decks in afternoon, knowing full well they cannot cope with loads.
