Sv 62
A passenger conplained that 62 has overloading at Sengkang area in the morning. The reader wants SBST to increase no of trips. I think 62 already has gd frequency unless 62B can be introduced.
BC also bo chap, drove off even though students haven't alight.
Singporeans are spolit, other svs that are overloaded and uses non aircon buses, no passenger complains -
In that case, shortworking trips towards Lor 1 Geylang during the morning peak should be introduced.
Seen jammed packed buses towards Lor 1 Geylang but there are always empty buses towards Punggol during the same time. Quite a waste seeing jammed packed Mk4s towards Lor 1 Geylang while an empty Trident is on the opposite side of the road. -
Making it closer is better
62B: Punggol Int to Lor Ah Soo (Loop)
There is already Short working trips to Geylang already, 62A -

At around 1800 hrs , the direction to Woodlands has a lot of DD buses while the direction to Bedok are mostly single decks and they are packed until to the front , see how dumb SBST is ? I wonder why SBST can't spread out the VSOs. -

I must say that the loads on the DDs are high and there's no way a SD can afford to carry that number of passengers at the given headway, unless SBST deploys 2 buses at a time.
Let me quote what you just said, "the direction to Bedok are mostly single deckers and they are packed to the front". This I agree, but, I believe this is considered "able to cope with loads" as many passengers are able to squeeze into the bus.
Again, if no one notices, the headway from WDL towards Bedok is almost half the headway from Bedok towards WDL. Headways from WDL can be as fast as 6 to 8 minutes per bus, while headways from Bedok are still between 12 to 15 mins. This will make up the "loss" of deploying SDs.
The brunching of VSOs can be real irritating, but that's when the buses are needed. There must be a reason of brunching of the VSOs, I do not know the exact reason, but definitely there MUST be a reason.
Besides, there will always be VOs on the opposite directions of the VSOs.
This could also be the reason service 39 is made to serve Jalan Kayu. -

These people. although I believe are cursing under their breaths, could understand the constraints faced by the bus companies.
Services serving schools are always very packed, and bus companies are always doing their very best by deploying loads of buses on them. -

Be serious lah. The VSOs need to arrive at WRI at 11+pm - 12+ midnight then they can go off service. Given Sv. 168 one-way trip is 1 hr, 6pm towards WRI is just nice for them to go off service from WRI at night. There are VOs and other SDs going in the opposite direction at faster frequencies.
Is it just me, or are you only interested in taking VSO home? If that's the case sit at the bus stop and wait lor. Noone's going to stop you, even if you reach home later than if you had taken a packed Merz. It's your perogative. -

Yap, SBST has been revising timetable many times on some svs... But I notice the driver's timetable has been "cut cost" -

I was just wondering about the VSO timings and besides any DD buses replacing the current single decks will be helped a lot to ease the packed single deck buses. -

High demand rts are NAC and have no double deck
Low demand rt/ direction are FAC or with double deck...

The only plan that SBS is doing is to when to increase their fare again.
With the increase in bus fare and profit, the SBS have provided lousier service.
More non-aircon buses are used.
Less frequency of buses.
More profits for the jo-bo directors

40 has to be FAC as its a trunk svc.
those feeders can make do with NAC Scanias
apparantly 37 uses spare buses on weekdays. that's where the NAC Scanias come into play. Same logic for 90, with the exception that 90's buses are not spare.
How many times must i tell u that each depot has its own constraints?? They're trying their best to fulfill the commuters. However, a handful of them will still lu-gi...

107 loads are quite healthy, but it still does not need that amount of DDs. Currently 107 mainly serves as a feeder service for pax living between NEL stations.
btw if I'm correct when it was at Serangoon it operated only NAC Scanias. Why the sudden jump to VOs when switched to HGDEP? -
