VO 2-axles were also on service 107 during its Serangoon days.Originally posted by leeJZ:107 loads are quite healthy, but it still does not need that amount of DDs. Currently 107 mainly serves as a feeder service for pax living between NEL stations.
btw if I'm correct when it was at Serangoon it operated only NAC Scanias. Why the sudden jump to VOs when switched to HGDEP?
When was it? Recently?Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Yap, one example.
Bus 19 is supposed to be a FAC service but after some months, I was shocked to see the NAC scanias , wanted to complain to SBST about it but what's the point. I guess they are short of buses at that time.

Actually last year but early this year, the NAC buses suddenly popped out.Originally posted by tranquilice:When was it? Recently?
I thought service 19 is a PAC service until a few months ago. The last time I saw NAC buses on this service is in March this year.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Actually last year but early this year, the NAC buses suddenly popped out.
119 demand is v low on weekend...Originally posted by service_238:ok first things first, Do u know the rationale behind the DDs on 119?
and do you know why 107 have DDs?
40 has to be FAC as its a trunk svc.
those feeders can make do with NAC Scanias
apparantly 37 uses spare buses on weekdays. that's where the NAC Scanias come into play. Same logic for 90, with the exception that 90's buses are not spare.
How many times must i tell u that each depot has its own constraints?? They're trying their best to fulfill the commuters. However, a handful of them will still lu-gi...
U try running a bus company like SBS then u know.

You just further confirmed that you are indeed th1988.Originally posted by sbst275:119 demand is v low on weekend...
107 peak demand is lower than e.g sv 90 during peak
40 has v low demand... V funny... So svs like 6, 37, 90, 93, 95 are feeders when they are PAC?
No, depots are very bias. Seeing Sv 8 has v low demand on sun and they deploy Super Olympian? Seeing no passengers inside the bus
Full air con (service).Originally posted by bus911:What is FAC?
I'm not but just have a sixth sense after seeing a post on thisOriginally posted by leeJZ:You just further confirmed that you are indeed th1988.
107 demand during off peak hours / weekends is MUCH MUCH better than 90.
8 does not have very low demand on Sundays - it has average demand. It is a valuable feeder service in Tampines. The weekend and off peak demands of 90 is what I call very low demand.
Although I agree with you that the VSO should stay on 31 which is mainly a school bus / leisure route, where as 8 is mainly a feeder / industrial service.
You insist 107 is low demand. It is not a low demand service, last time I took it the lower deck of DD was very crowded, the upper deck rather empty though. Although demand might be low inside the city, demand along Upp Serangoon Rd is very good - one time i was on 2795 and stopping at every single bus stop along the road...Originally posted by sbst275:I'm not but just have a sixth sense after seeing a post on this
OK, but 107 demand is low (Based on SGN Int days...)
I have contacts with SBST staff, you answer me this... Why insist that 107 has high demand? They have adjusted many times (With lesser buses everytime) during peak hrs? The frequency is now 11-14 mins. But I do know that off peak demand are higher, but peak hr, the demand is 2 times lower. See by time
As for Sv 8, I was the only passenger inside the bus along Macpherson Rd
As for me, I dun stay at this forum bef (Let me say this clearly, I do not wish to repeat myself).. In fact, I got into this forum through relative working in SBS
19's NAC had been replaced by about 5 mk3s.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:I still see sub NAC scania on 19 a few times these past few weeks.
Originally posted by leeJZ:Yes, I can vouch for it. Demand was extremely good along Upp Serangoon Rd. I took the bus almost every morning last week during peak hours from HGN and the bus was filled to the brim. Once, the upper deck of a DD bus was about 70% filled even before it reached the bus stop opposite SRJC.

even if the entire forum vouches for it, he will still insist that 107 is low demand :SOriginally posted by bendy2003:Yes, I can vouch for it. Demand was extremely good along Upp Serangoon Rd.
