There was a disruption of the MRT service today around 1.15pm to about 2pm or so.
Was on the north-bound MRT train. The train had pulled in at Toa Payoh and stayed there for a while when an announcement was made announcing the disruption of north-bound services.
Svc 88 was packed today as a result of the disruption.
There were Civil Defence vehicles and police cars along Bishan Rd at the bus stop outside the MRT...the shutters of the MRT station was pulled half way down at Bishan...svc between amk and toa payoh would be disrupted for one hour.
Saw a train stuck at the Nth Bound tracks in Bishan...
Didn't see any SMRT buses being deployed
Something is wrong... But I dun see need for SMRTB as they have said that such short disruption MAY not have shuttles especially they are during off peak. (I'm say MAY as it is case by case basis)
I example, mths bef a lighting struck on a rail track bet Yishun and Sembawang. Train sv was disrupted. No shuttles were provided but Tibs increased 851 frequency
