If the VSO is called the volvo B10TL, then what are the earlier olympians call? Volvo B???? Also, i noticed that the VSO is extremely noisy at the bottom deck, especially at the back. It gets on your nerves. Older DDs like VO and LOs do not have so loud and noisy engines. WHy?

The noice is possibly due to the gearbox - the VSO uses the same engine (DH10A) as the 96xx VOs. -
The noise comes from the radiator.
VO and LO are simply VO and LO. Only VSO is also known as B10TL -
Of coarse the Trident are one group of their own, pity only 20 units.

Volvo production code for the Olympian is simply "OLY".

Some LOs do have the noisy radiator, more deafening inside the bus as compared to outside, in contrast to the VSO. One good example is SBS9046K. The Trident currently operating in HK, Singapore, Canada and NYC is known as Trident 3.

Some also have as well...

Germany,South Africa,Ghana,Denmark have double deckers bus in normal service.

AMDEP deploys 6 buses for 166 while BBDEP deploys the rest.
Usually a VSO covers an LO timeslot.
Of the 6 buses, 3 SD, 3 DD,
SD consists of 1 WA Merz and 2 CAC Merz, all 3 DD are LOs (9051 9195 and another LO) -
