In my opinion, no need to amend service 970, just let service 961 plies daily into Marina Centre (I'm referring to the link between Chinatown and Marina Centre).

But Svc 5 didn't go to Hillview AFAIK. It went straight along Upp Bt Timah Rd. Also 970 doesn't use Margaret Dr & Lower Delta Rd. The main grouse of Svc 5 commuters was the loss of links between Sixth Ave & Commonwealth MRT.
