Depot changes for Serangoon & Eunos Interchanges

With effects from September(Infos from some Union members and Bus Captains)
Serangoon will be taken over by HGDEP from AMDEP while Eunos will be handed to AMDEP from HGDEP probably to BNDEP as it is under East districts.
Expect some crazy deployments on all the services.VSOs on 154?MK4 DM3500s on 100?

Because Serangoon is along NEL so it may make some sense. I think it is also making possible for 101 to be FAC. It is easier for AMDEP as well, it has a burden to carry the increasing needs of SGN buses aft NEL Phrase 2 and 3
BTW 154 did have 9800A deployed bef -
Another theory is that it is trying its best to get the BRAM non FAC service more aircon buses as 157 is facing difficulty achieving fully FAC (It is FAC on the net and bus int guide).
Which I saw during the trial of 157 being really FAC and 90 getting a full flett of aircon buses for peak hr buses during the June holidays which has ended -
Wow, that is certainly a surprise! Will the existing drivers of those svcs in serangoon interchange be affected ?

will svc 100 be solely controlled by hgdep, like it is solely by amdep now? tat will be very tough for the drivers starting early trips from ghim moh ter. alrd they have to speed down amk ave 6, marymount, lornie, adam, farrer, holland to get there. if they have to get there from hougang, they sure have to wake up earlier and get an earlier EB to prepare for these trips. tiring sia.

Would love to see Pasir ris under Hougang Depot, can't see that happening !! Imagine all the mark 2s and VSO on bus 12 and 17.

100 can be split between depots, but it could mean changes to other BBDEP-deployed routes. SGN has much more bus routes originating from there than EUN.
Anyway, EUN has traditionally been HGDEP-controlled when the old districts were still in use. Routes like 61, 154 and 385 had MB O305s serving them.
Consequence of depot change: Mk IIIs replacing Mercs on 100 and 105 (definite yes), VSOs on 93 (who knows) and CRBs on 60 (likely). -

:arrrow: they will finally move the age-old "sacred cow" of svc 93's control by arbp since plab days to amdep so it will utilise O.405's and do the amk to hbf run in the mornings
move part of svc 100's control to arbp and take over 93's Striders and Mk3s the 9 ex-Sentosa B10M's could join in the svc 100 family too! VO3x might be possible on svc 105 -

93 is full ARBP? Doesn't HGDEP have any say in 93 deployment?

Pasir Ris will probably remain BNDEP controlled for a long time to come.
Svc 93 is full ARBP, hence you only see Striders and VO 2X, if HGDEP was in the picture you would see more Mk2s and perhaps some Mk4 DMs.
VSO will never be on 93, they are all fully booked and 93 demand is rather pathetic during off peak, it doesnt even need VO 2X then even with its lousy freq.
81 will likely stay full BNDEP, it has been so for very long since the NBR days.
63 is currently half HGDEP half BBDEP, the only loop service to be controlled by two depots, and will likely be AMDEP / BBDEP joint control. -
What I do hope is that more aircon buses will be available to all PAC services, that's all. As it is quite dead of the theory "Progressively replacing NAC ones to FAC ones". I got this when asking abt my qn on the weird deployment (I think they said this automatically when asking on my qn as I heard that there was a lot on complains on 90 and 186 especially by tens of commuters which staff are a bit unhappy)

tis will materialise only towards end of 2006 or later. tis is due to the fact tat SBST will not convert its existing Scania & Mk2 NAC buses to CAC since they are going to be scrapped soon, so there will be a substantial amount of NAC buses lingering around PAC services until they are scrapped and new AC buses come in, hence the word "replacing".Originally posted by sbst275:What I do hope is that more aircon buses will be available to all PAC services, that's all. They might just be buying/ ordering earlier going to be forced to buy Euro4 only which are quite ex. Mk2's can still stay on the roads until next year at least. when SBST puts them up for sale, it is making early preparations and it does not mean they have to retire it very very soon, for it is still by all means a usable bus, especially those CAC ones, as long as the 17-year life span has not ended.Originally posted by sbst275:They might just be buying/ ordering earlier going to be forced to buy Euro4 only which are quite ex. maybe SBST may stock up on some conventional diesel buses next year or in early 2006 to make sure it has enough buses to tide over the loss of about 400 buses in its fleet (Scanias + Mk2), notwithstanding their internal decision on whether to buy CNG buses or to wait for the development of a Euro-4 diesel engine bus. -
Euro 4 compliance means that buses reg after that date (forgot the date) has to be Euro 4. it doesnt mean that all buses has to be euro 4 by that date. If you're operating the bus company u must be crazy.
