There is really no need actually, demand for 97 has all along been very weak at this stretch on weekends.Originally posted by leeJZ:help sustain better loads for svc 97, which are very poor during the weekend.
so? most people will continue to take svc 143 or MRT to HBF as it is the fastest. merging the two will put back links between the west and Sim Lim / Little India.Originally posted by sbst275:There is really no need actually, demand for 97 has all along been very weak at this stretch on weekends.
Toa Payoh - Jurong East there is 506 already which is much faster
3 buses from Toa Payoh to HBF?
Isn't there is 66? 66 doesn't serve KK?Originally posted by leeJZ:so? most people will continue to take svc 143 or MRT to HBF as it is the fastest. merging the two will put back links between the west and Sim Lim / Little India.
got svc 66, but if you board along the AYE there is no other option without connecting.Originally posted by sbst275:Isn't there is 66? 66 doesn't serve KK?
Got, take 97 to WTC then 131Originally posted by leeJZ:got svc 66, but if you board along the AYE there is no other option without connecting.

I wonder what alternative services they will take from next Monday.
Fom Toh Guan is 105, 183 (To East Ave 1 direction) and 333Originally posted by SBS9818A:Probably something out to JRE, then Sv. 97
From what I see, it seems that the bus u-turns at Harbour Dr and Clementi Rd junction. I think SBST may want to extend it PSA PPT later onOriginally posted by tranquilice:With reference to Transitlink e-service guide, service 183 will not stop inside Kent Ridge terminal for boarding and alighting, unlike other loop services 95 and 189. This explains why service 183 serves the pair of stops outside Kent Ridge terminal, together with service 188.
Why go so far to U-turn since it can U-turn at Kent Ridge terminal?Originally posted by sbst275:From what I see, it seems that the bus u-turns at Harbour Dr and Clementi Rd junction. I think SBST may want to extend it PSA PPT later on
Like what I said, it may be a interim rt which may go to PSA's PPT later on. As for u - turn, I also thought of that. But SBS may just want to extend it later onOriginally posted by tranquilice:Why go so far to U-turn since it can U-turn at Kent Ridge terminal?
Dun be bias with people OK?Originally posted by service_238:the thing is Kent Ridge doesnt have 183. full stop.
however, the green martian there thinks that it stops at kent ridge terminal? :S
Jurong East int said that it doesnt call at kent ridge terminal.
so the green martian was wrong
it can stop at bus stop Bef Kent Ridge Terminal and turn into the terminal to u-turn.Originally posted by tranquilice:Why go so far to U-turn since it can U-turn at Kent Ridge terminal?
i think u better go down to kent ridge or take the 183 guide if u dont believe me.Originally posted by sbst275:Dun be bias with people OK?
we went down today.Originally posted by sbst275:Dun be bias with people OK?
wat buses were used for svc 183? anyone took it today? and anyone took the bus together when it looped back, and knows if it loops at Kent Ridge Terminal (without stopping) or all the way at Harbour Dr?Originally posted by freakybuses:Maybe I should intervene...
service_238 is right. Kent Ridge Terminal is not the stop for 183. This is a reliable source. I have been there myself also. If you don't believe, find out yourself. It has been already confirmed that the guides are accurate as of today and 183 SHOULD NOT have entered the terminal.
End of post.
