Don't forget there's also 166. From Jurong East, there is 97/143 to WTC, followed by 166 to Sim Lim/Bt Timah. In fact, 105 can be swapped for 166 if its is possible.

With reference to Transitlink e-service guide, service 183 will not stop inside Kent Ridge terminal for boarding and alighting, unlike other loop services 95 and 189. This explains why service 183 serves the pair of stops outside Kent Ridge terminal, together with service 188.

a few possibilites about TransitLink e-guide's route:
they printed it wrongly and thought that kent ridge terminal services need to stop at the bus stop and the terminal itself is not available for boarding and alighting facilities, or 183 will not allow boarding or alighting facilities at kent ridge terminal, only using it to u-turn, or 183 may be extended to PSA PPT, which i think is not likely due to demand. -

service_238 is right. Kent Ridge Terminal is not the stop for 183. This is a reliable source. I have been there myself also. If you don't believe, find out yourself. It has been already confirmed that the guides are accurate as of today and 183 SHOULD NOT have entered the terminal.

i think i'll try it tml since my ayer rajah camp is very near kent ridge area.
about why 507 was withdrawn, i thought about it and came up with this answer. PTC probably felt 507 was duplicating the MRT system too much and snatching away customers who would normally have taken the Bus-MRT option (24x or 33x to BNL/JUR to RFP/TPG/HBF) which was desired due to govt's preference for MRT. Worse, it probably also felt it was duplicating Svc 97 and 197 also, since pax could have taken a 33x to JEI and transferred to 97 & 197 to Science Pk I, and 97 to Alexandra and HBF. i feel since 507 is doing well, SBST will for no reason want to withdraw it, except for another party like PTC. -
