looks like they are just taking other svc's buses from amdep to put on 859. have not encountered a 12m bus on 859 yet.
Svc 160 + Causeway sightings
took it but forgot to take down regos. yes, the fare stages were pre-empted. jurong east starts with 10.0 while kota raya starts with 9.0. i was filmed taking 786S from Kranji MRT, where the photographers were filming 170X alongside with 160. it was the 2nd bus to depart from jurong east int, reaching kranji at 11.15am. another bus on 160 is 789J.
also, at JB-bound WL CKPT, the re-boarding queueing lanes have been rearranged. 3 interchange-style lanes exclusively for singapore public bus services (not counting SJE) have been set up, with 2 are in use by 170/170X (they put 170 LARKIN) & 160 and an empty lane, presumably for 950. a 4th lane has also been set up for that one berth for CW2, which has a sticker pasted stating "COMING SOON". on the way back, at SG-bound JB CKPT, the re-boarding queues have been arranged under 170 and 160 respectively. further up is a queue for CW1 and CW2. tis time round, the words EXPRESS SERVICE was mentioned, and the operating hours are visible, but i could not take down the timings since i was on the bus. at SG-bound WL CKPT, normal 170 (Queen St) and 170X (Kranji MRT) queues are there, while a third makeshift queue for 160 is alongside (like Bedok Int type for low demand svcs).
anyway, CW2 is the RapidBus version of 170, plying same route by skipping alternative stops. some stops it calls are Opp Sixth Ave, Nat'l JC, Coronation Plaza (and u can imply from there).
SBST Transfers saw both O.405 DM OAC (!) and Striders on 63 459T with 3rd brake light still on 963 -
The Army Open House did not went through a tender to get operators.. Instead ComfortDelgro sponsered the buses. Comfort Bus was used to clear SBS from such duties. Anyway, Comfort Bus has slowly taken over SBS charter duties.

anyway, for svc 160's approved route details, it is supposed to be a loop svc so u shld pay $1.70 (in cash) taking a ride from jurong east to kota raya then back to jurong east. but apparently the svc is not loop. -
