From Saturday 04 Sep 2004, Jln Buroh will be converted to a semi-expressway, as such, the right turn from east-side Pandan Rd into Jln Buroh will be closed.
Service 78, in the direction of Clementi, will be amended to ply Pandan Ave (in the direction of west-side Pandan Rd) and turn right into Jln Buroh from west-side Pandan Rd instead of the current east-side Pandan Rd.
The service will call at 2 new bus stops along Pandan Ave and skip one bus stop along east-side Pandan Rd (between Pandan Ave and Jln Buroh).
The route in the direction of Jurong East remains unchanged.
Service 78 amended route: Jurong East int -> Tanjong Penjuru, right into Jln Buroh, right into west-side Pandan Rd, left into south-side Pandan Rd, left into east-side Pandan Rd, left into Pandan Ave, right into west-side Pandan Rd (express), right into Jln Buroh (express) and resume normal route.
After Pandan Rd Swanson Plastics (fare stage 10), it will turn left into Pandan Ave, call at 2 new bus stops along this road, then turn right into west-side Pandan Rd (this is the same stretch of Pandan Rd which service 78 buses turn in from Jln Buroh just now). The bus stop opposite Gas Services International will be skipped.
