I'm not sure what is the exact number of trainsets that SMRT has. So far, I've recorded 47 old Kawasakis, 7 Siemens and 9 new Kawasakis. I'm sure there's more than that.
Wow! Thanks. Does the 66 old Kawasaki include the 4 car trainsets or are they all the normal 6 car trainset?Originally posted by ^tamago^:the numbers.....
66 old Kawasaki
19 Siemens
21 new Kawasaki
all the normal 6-car trainsets, from x001-x132.Originally posted by The_Bus_Guide:Wow! Thanks. Does the 66 old Kawasaki include the 4 car trainsets or are they all the normal 6 car trainset?
Has anybody rode on trainset 001-002? Does it exist because I have a picture which was taken at the commemoration of the first MRT train in 1987 and that train happened to be 003-004, which was supposed to be second in line.

how about closing this thread, since a new topic for Singapore MRT/LRT has been created?
That topic is in another forum, which is totally not related to this forum.Originally posted by SBS3688Y:Moderators,

Award Of Civil Contract For Boon Lay Mrt Extension
http://app.lta.gov.sg/corp_press_content.asp?start=1318
The BLE is a 3.8-km fully elevated extension of the existing East West Line from Boon Lay Station. It will have two stations, one at Jurong West Street 63 to serve the residents in the Jurong West Town area, and another at Joo Koon Circle to serve the Jurong Industrial Estate. When completed in early 2009, the BLE will enhance the public transport system for residents in the Jurong West Town area and help to alleviate congestion at Boon Lay Bus Interchange.
It's only 2 stations so 3 to 4 years is sufficient. Expo station took only 2 years to complete.Originally posted by SBS9828X:wow so fast
