yes, earlier Mk IV DM's uses the Mk III engine (THD101GD) while the later ones use the engine tat most Mk IV's use (THD101KF). which ones i'm not sure, but from my observation it's 882Y to 903X.
the engine sound can be obseved most clearly at the rear door where u hear the radiator's sound come out on the left side of the mid-mounted engine. i'm boarded a crowded svc 36 Mk IV DM before and i could note the difference in the sound the engine (and hence the radiator) produces.
as for other Mk IV (Striders & DM3500), i don't think they use THD101GD engine.
