"Dear forum users,
I would like to emphasize the various variants of the various Volvo B10M:
SBS 1696 L - SBS 1895 D
Volvo B10M Mk 2
SBS 0582 M - SBS 0881 A
Volvo B10M Mk 3
SBS 0882 Y - SBS 0996 C
Volvo B10M Mk 4 W/ DM bodywork
SBS 1896 B - SBS 1999 M, SBS 2593 T - SBS 2688 D
Volvo B10M Mk 4 W/ Walter Alexander Strider Bodywork
***SBS 2689 B - SBS 2838 M
Volvo B10M Mk 4 W/ DM 3500 bodywork
*** Please be noted that for the model within the range of rego, they are called as Mk 4, and NOT Mk 5. This is because:
1. Such naming convention for that particular model may result in misleading. Hence, it would be thought as a successor of a Mk 4, which is not the case.
2. A B10M Mk 5 has NEVER existed in the Volvo B10M Variants. Hence, calling a Mk 4 as a Mk 5 would be inappropriate.
Note:
"...I would like to share my deep discomfort on the potential for job losses with the errant usage of the term "Mark 5/Mk 5/Mk V" with a B10M chassis. Attached below is part of an email I received from a Volvo product representative who to me wield some power to investigate some employees, in the light that a leak occurred. To sum up the non-existent parts of the attached email (the ### denote parts where the privacy of the individual has been requested), it makes mention that the Mk V B10M was a proposal, where the designs and blueprints had been drafted, but no such plans to build a protoype came to fruition, after the swing towards low entry and low floor buses. I assume that the usage of the term Mk V has the potential that a pirated or unfortunate incident has been forseen accidentally, and a wild goose chase for how such a design got built. It would eventually lead to either a scapegoat, persons fired uneccessarily, and ultimately, a waste of manpower, money and resources for nothing. On this, I urge that the possibility of the usage of the term Mk V be curtailed, or replaced with "DM 3500 bodied Mk IV", or something similar on all groups, and this can reduce confusion and misleading information."

Dear sir/madam,
"It has come to my attention that the chassis of the fifth B10M series has appeared in Singapore. If this is the case, my main concern is to address a board from Volvo HQ in ###### that the possibility of a communications failure in the corporation has led to a prototype being constructed. If this is not the case, then the possibility of a leakage in internal information has arisen, and an internal inquiry chaired by myself will be held to investigate leaked information, and the persons sacked. "
for your information.
