You mean Booragon Interchange? I kind of like that place. So strategically located next to Garden City.Originally posted by LazerLordz:I like the terminals in Perth, simple yet clear cut.Quite well ventilated but lacking in basic amenities.
Read from another thread that a new service, sbst 114 may be introduced. Wonder what the situation may look like then???Originally posted by sBs_boy:hEllO.. Hmmm.. mi start this topic.. just wanna find out.. what do your think about Singapore's bus Interchange/Terminal...?? whAT are your views.. ? any examples from other countries.. ?? AnyOne.. ?? juSt feel FrEE to WriTE in HEre... hmmm.. sometimes.. i just feel that the current bus interchange/terminal is still not enough to serve the whole of Singapore.. take Hougang for example... its like overcrowding during the peak hour.. you can see buses turning round and round the interchange after letting pessangers alighting.. this is due to the fact that there are just not enough bus berth for all buses serving Hougang Bus Interchange...
Actually they wanted to close it long ago in the 1990's. But there was no NEL to link up Kovan and HougangOriginally posted by sBs_boy:I dont even know why.. building such a small interchange for Hougang.. they could have built a bigger 1 what.. haiz.. doesnt kbnow whaat the hack they are thinkinh when they design the Hougang Bus Interchange.. Doesnt they know that Hougang South Interchange and Hougang Central Interchange was going to merge later on due to the low demand and NEL.. ?? doesnt they predicted this earlier on in the 1st place.... ????
Perhaps they can extend the interchange to the empty field next to it, or to the large piece of land between Hougang Central & Hougang Ave 10, make it the first Int in Singapore divided by a roadOriginally posted by sBs_boy:I dont even know why.. building such a small interchange for Hougang.. they could have built a bigger 1 what.. haiz.. doesnt kbnow whaat the hack they are thinkinh when they design the Hougang Bus Interchange.. Nope.. doNt even Ever think that they will do that.. anyway.. Hougang South had already been revonated that place.. dont think it would make any sense by Reopening the Interchange when theres 101,112,113 rite now.. Replacing the old feeder Services like 328,327,326... so... its not pratical and.. ppl will start complainin that it is a waste of money...Originally posted by kiri:Is there any chance that the hougang south interchange may be reopened?
Just wondering, cos there is talk that bus and mrt may start to compete with each other after another round of mergers

svc 147 cannot be amended.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Haiz.. Regarding To hougang Bus Interchange.. instead of building a new interchange Opp oR reopening the Hougang South Interchange.. Actually there is a better idea.. maybe they could edit a few routes up abit more North.. maybe they could edit BUs 147, New Bridge Rd to Punggol Bus Interchange.. 107.. extend it up to Punggol Bus Interchange also.. this way, not only it will lighten the load of Hougang Bus iNterchange, it also create more links for people who are living in Punggol/SengKang Area...
YAP Reopen HG STH interchange.... Move some of the bus that goes towards north from the HG central interchange to HG south... such as 161....27... more ppl will benefit.....Originally posted by sBs_boy:Haiz.. Actually I saw long ago in the 1994 plans for Hougang central, that the Interchange was supposed to occupy the whole space up to Block 838. When they built it, I tot..wakaoz...why so small. I already know they built it as a replacement for Hougang South, so I predicted it will be Phase one only.Originally posted by sBs_boy:I dont even know why.. building such a small interchange for Hougang.. they could have built a bigger 1 what.. haiz.. doesnt kbnow whaat the hack they are thinkinh when they design the Hougang Bus Interchange..
