The new buses might not really go to BBDEP or even SLBP. Because after the handover of BBT & CCK services, SBST had started to pamper the east even more than the west. Maybe before the withdrawal of scanias, BNDEP scanias might temporily go over to cover up the loss of MK2 in HGDEP, BBDEP/ARBP and SLBP.Originally posted by ah_kwang:I really find it funny. why bother to air-condition those MK2s and CRBs when they are going to be retired. I saw SBS1696L on Hougang feeder 325 once... but i think it's a cameo bus or whatever because I see 1696 on 325 only occasionally...

but BNDEP got enough scanias to cover all MK2s in HG, BB and SLBP meh? But the removal of Mk2s will cause HGDEP to have insufficient buses... Almost all feeder operating out of HGDEP will use Mk2s and Mk3s... HGDEP has the majority of MKIIs and i think HGDEP will only be slightly deficient of buses as some DD svcs with SDs will perhaps be converted to FULL/95% DDs as i tink they are a quite a number of DDs lying around idle.Originally posted by ah_kwang:but BNDEP got enough scanias to cover all MK2s in HG, BB and SLBP meh? in fact, i wun be surprised if mk4 dm's are being used alongside the mk3's on 11x and 101 after the mk2's retire.

i realised that there are in fact more NAC mk2s on 101 and 325 recently... for 112 and 113, they seems to have different cameo buses everyday... maybe i'm wrong? -
anyone with any idea on the bus that will replace the Mk IIs and the CRBs or will they still stay on? I'm very keen on new single deckers...

CRBs might be temporily x-fered to some depots to cover up the loss of MK2s. And some services like 113 and 19 might be converted into DD services.

hopefully that will happen!! I've been longing to see CRBs in Hougang! but you think there's enough CRBs to cover hougang routes? And it might not seem very feasible for DDs to operate on 113, 112 and 119. 119 has only DDs only weekends ocassionally if i'm not wrong. 112 and 113 does not have very good ridership. the entire bus has only 1 or 2 passengers normally except for peak hours. only 101 has better ridership but also not feasible to have DDs because it has to make a U turn in a narrow one lane road at Buangkok crescent, the SDs have turn right, reverse, then turn again.
Anyway, I really hope they would send CRBs or anything else but O405s because I don't like the loud and blunt engine of the O405s though they are quite reliable. -
The thing is that HGDEP have handle O405s before. That might not be the problem, my dear.
