SBST ordered new buses to replace Mark twos

  yes. i was shocked to see NAC's lurking ard on feeder svcs yesterday on 293, cos everytime i go to tampines it was on weekends and i onli see the good VO3x buses.

  I only saw Leyland Atlantean on 291, 222 and not LO3Xes. If you mean LO3Xes, it could mean that they are juz a cameo from sv 10. Sv 10 is the only service in BNDEP with LO3Xes. Currently with 3 of them left in bndep : 9006B, 9007Z, 9084A.

  The VO2Xes were replaced by MK3s and VO3Xes.

  I've got rumours from a reliable sources that SBST are keen on a certain stepless Mercedes Benz diesel buses but they are buying a few units only if confirmed.

  You mean SBST is getting O500LE with Euro-4 compliance? And there will be less than 5 of them?

  Hmm on weekends the 291 VO3Xs often go do cameos (on 31 esp).

  In holiday schedules, 291 VOs goes SP and does on other BNDEP services.

  If I am not wrong , these buses are transferred over to BBdepot.

  Actually, I am not quite sure if the buses are being x-fered to bbdep or not. But I am sure that most of the BBDEP LO3Xes and some MK4 were x-fered to SLBP when SLBP commenced operation. At the same time, 166 ceased using LO3X from BBDEP and its BBDEP LO3X fleet got x-fered to ARBP 132 (ie 9067A, 9100L, 9165A, etc).
  
  VO2Xs I believe, they are all transfered to SLBP and BBDEP. SBS7272L (ex-BN 10) is now an ARBP 93 bus.

  Incorrect on both accounts.
  
  O.500LE has radiator and intercooler modifications to deal with Australian conditions. OC.500LE is the standard width chassis, where as the O.530 is the wider Citaro chassis. You still need to add CNG to the end of the chassis designation. For the others, they are not diesel. 3 have already been built as of 3 weeks ago, 2 painted in SBST livery at the time, and all have CNG pod on the roof. I was informed of this 3 weeks ago.

  1701 was the first DM-bodied Mk II in the entire fleet. Altogether, 5 WA and 5 DM Mk IIs were retired on 9 June.

  I remembered seeing SBS 1704 last Friday, on one of the Bt Merah feeders, 273 or 275. Can't be wrong cos' I saw it 2 times in that evening itself...

  And I also can confirm that I saw 1709 last thursday, and 1705 this morning serving Service 157.
  
  From tamago's post, it was stated "09/06/2005: 1701E, 1702C, 1703A, 1704Y, 1705U, 1706S, 1707P, 1708L, 1709J, 1710D " will be scrapped. But so far, seems like SBST is still using them.
