It has been confirmed that the Body Demonstrator bus is a Volvo Super Olympian. No registration has been allocated yet, AFAIK and no further information available.
Isn't the B10TL engine the same as VO3X 96 series?Originally posted by sbst275:I think their engine is dif... B9TL engine radiator is at the back
Yes, the VSOs, the VOs registered from 9601 - 9670, and the Mk4 DM3500s all have the DH10A engine.Originally posted by iveco:Isn't the B10TL engine the same as VO3X 96 series?
Then why do the DM3500s have a different sound from the VOs?Originally posted by leeJZ:Yes, the VSOs, the VOs registered from 9601 - 9670, and the Mk4 DM3500s all have the DH10A engine.
Obviously the radiator just behind the front axle of the new demo bus, indicates that it is the B10TL. Volvo B9TL, although said to be the successor of B10TL, was not given the VSO title as well.Originally posted by sbst275:There are 2 versions of VSO, 1 is the known B10TL, the other is the newer B9TL that has KMB as the anchor custoner
different gearbox I think, DM3500s use Voith while VOs use ZF.Originally posted by iveco:Then why do the DM3500s have a different sound from the VOs?
Volvo didn't want to confuse bus co. The back display need not be EDS, it can be a number plate. But it is a must in HK... Singapore still prefers acrylic number platesOriginally posted by Superbus:Obviously the radiator just behind the front axle of the new demo bus, indicates that it is the B10TL. The bus rear looked suspiciously similar to that of a DM5000 Trident and will probably have an EDS at the rear upper deck.
B10TL is B10TLOriginally posted by sbst275:There are 2 versions of VSO, 1 is the known B10TL, the other is the newer B9TL that has KMB as the anchor custoner

B10TL is B10TL
B9TL is B9TL
B10TL is also known as VSO
B9TL does NOT equal B10TL and thus B9TL DOES NOT equal VSO.
Get it?
