It's not red & purple, but DARK ORANGE. The 2 colours clash. What's more, the front grilles are painted over. I prefer the black ones.Originally posted by SBS9845X:I prefer the new livery as purple and red very matching. This is for SBST.
For TIBS/SMRTB, i prefer the old one. Now the interior doesnt match wif the livery. So sickening of SMRT to destroy my beloved habits. And one more thing, SMRT has erased the logos of pinifarina and merc when painting the buses. WHAT AUDACITY! i hate SMRTB

Of course it makes the non aircon buses looks more livelyOriginally posted by TIB1186Z:The new livery for SBST is definitely much nicer as it is more vibrant and friendly. This livery is esp very nice on non-aircon buses with the black inlay around the windows that spices up the look of many VO2ax and MkIIs.
For SMRT livery, look at my nick. However, the livery does look quite nice on TIB0847 as it compliments the windows.
Do u dare email to SMRT CEO Mdm Saw P W???Originally posted by SBS9845X:I prefer the new livery as purple and red very matching. This is for SBST.

There are direct e-mail to SBS CRC (They have opened up for passengers to give feedback (Not the feedback form on their website style))... SMRT, the e mail is quite weirdOriginally posted by Manager433:Do u dare email to SMRT CEO Mdm Saw P W???
Some NAC Scanias have been repainted. You just have to take a look at 3599.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:The new livery for SBST is definitely much nicer as it is more vibrant and friendly. Anyway, i prefer white tyre rims to accompany the new SBST livery. Silver seems to be a bit bland since it is the colour of most metals anyway. On the other hand, SMRT could do better having red rims since it is part of their corporate colours. Black rims are even more boring. In the old days, SBS had red rims and Tibs nad orange ones. Miss that bygone era.
SMRT dun have experience in completing with SBS, I have admit this... They have whacked the good record of Sv 61, 190 that SBS has madeOriginally posted by gohby:I agree with the majority here... SBS T newer ones, SMRT, older ones, duh.
SMRT is an idiotic company in my own opinion, wants to give people the image tt they are very professional and formal, but look at their services and, like shit, to be blunt.![]()
Pls feedback this and email to smrt. Their CEO loves ppl who gives good suggestion and feedback.Originally posted by iveco:Some NAC Scanias have been repainted. You just have to take a look at 3599.

The uniform maybe? stinking hot and humid singapore would be more like it.Originally posted by SilverKris:As for SMRT, I prefer the old Tibs yellow/orange paintwork. Reminds me of sunshine and sunflowers (for some reason)....very befitting of sunny Singapore.
Hmmm, your nick is a little too close to mine for comfort.Originally posted by WindyDay:the beautiful yellow and orange paintwork of tibs anyday! the new smrt livery is a tad too dull for my liking.
The uniform maybe? stinking hot and humid singapore would be more like it.It's interesting even the climate is a reason for derogatory and snotty language, especially where Singapore is concerned. It's almost as if one is expected to be able to change equatorial/tropical weather, or weather anywhere in the world. One rarely hears Sydneysiders complain about summer with such hostility during my decade there- even though there are long, sweaty, consecutive hot days of 38c, or the big and fat flies which compel one to perform the Aussie wave....in fact many look forward to the beach in 3-4 months of summer weather and other relaxing pursuits- humidity or no humidity.
Hmmm, your nick is a little too close to mine for comfortI have no problems with your nick, and you are quite free to use another nick if you think it's too similar to mine for your liking.
Ummmm, I am an Australian born 2nd generation chinese bloke. So there is no superiority complex available. Nor would I consider myself to be entirely foreign to Singapore, I have family over there, and I have made many frequent visits to classify Singapore under "nice place - wouldn't want to live there" (although it is not the onyl country which falls under that category). Nor do I ever complain about the weather normally, but it was quite appropriate to add in a little comment which was made in jest (with a slight tinge of truth), quite unlike your off-topic rant which seems to characterise these forums.Originally posted by WindyDay:And now for a short break from bus talk- we turn to a weather report:
If I may impulsively articulate my thoughts on this: Singaporeans who live abroad and complain about the weather back home have perhaps developed an inexplicable superiority complex, and think themselves too good for the climate here. It is then just a common psychological illness -bashing things Singaporean. Foreigners who do so are just oblivious to the unpredictability and risks of weather in their own region.
Well, you might just be in the minority there! I have had many a PM abusing my 'lack of taste' in buses. Note, I don't like them, and I will never like (note, I don't get obsessed) anything for the mere fact that it is new, which is quite prevalent in the enthusiast community in Hong Kong and Singapore. I mean, each to their own... I just don't like them, and that's that.Originally posted by WindyDay:I have no problems with your nick, and you are quite free to use another nick if you think it's too similar to mine for your liking.
And now...back to bus talk.
