Up till now there's no artist impression for the bus interchange. However I expect the interchange to look something like Bt Panjang, former Sengkang and AMK Temp Int if it's temporary.Originally posted by Superbus:Are there any artists' impression on the proposed bus interchange? I believe fencing would be up once the function by the temple Tien Yun Dian is done.Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:i have seen digging going on from my house here but the area have not been fence up yet.still have to wait for one more year before the interchange is ready.
If 859 and 962 combine, then it would not be necessary for them to terminate in the new Sembawang Int. 859 and 962 can be serving between Yishun and Woodlands, and just pass by the Sembawang Int. Maybe new bus routes will be added into the Sembawang Int.Originally posted by iveco:Hey, off_service is back.
Finally, you have a proper bus interchange to call your own. Will 962 merge with 859 as a result of the new SBW Int?
i also wish for more new bus routes.let hope for the day when sembawang interchange is opened.Originally posted by PJ_Quek:If 859 and 962 combine, then it would not be necessary for them to terminate in the new Sembawang Int. 859 and 962 can be serving between Yishun and Woodlands, and just pass by the Sembawang Int. It's the fenced up area next to Mos Burger at Sun Plaza.Originally posted by kenny_cai:Are you even sure about this? Last time I went (about 2 weeks back), I didn't see any empty space around Sembawang MRT. But even so, the population in Sembawang is still too small to have an interchange.
167 & 980, ok, 167 might be renumber at the same time. maybe 982? and some feeder service 983 or 98X (guess only lah) will cover up the Admiralty Rd West ter and Sembawang rd end Ter.Originally posted by kenny_cai:So, anyone wanna guess the services calling there? I'll go first:
980 (for sure, if they decide to abolish Admiralty Rd West Terminal)
962 (if it survives this long, it might call there as a loop service from Woodlands)
859 (same as above, except you replace "Woodlands" with "Yishun")
167 (might be cut into 2 services)
171 (might be extended here, but 75% chances that the answer is NO)
981 (might call here instead of Sembawang MRT)
Route 1 can be extension of 963 or 180/187.Originally posted by slwsglz:yeah i hope new service will be introudced..since sembwang interchange will be operated by SMRT. i hope new service will give them plenty to choose either bus or mrt...

Anyway, I think it might be possible that 859 will terminate at Sembawang.

as for route 1 n 3,it will leave it to smrt to decide...but route 1 will be better because people will have to transfer from bukit panjang lrt to mrt to sembawang mrt station.thus route 1 is easier even smrt decided to give route 3 direct express from bukit pangjang via bke..Originally posted by sbwangboy:---
Hi all,
since the new bus interchange will be operated by SMRT, I guess they will only seriously consider the Route 2.
this is because the other 2 routes are already adequately covered by MRT and LRT. SMRT won't want to steal its own business, right?
even if SMRT does have Routes 1 n 3, high chance that there will be a lot of detours in the journeys away from the MRT lines. then, i would rather take the train.
Eh?..You Live in SBW?..is it sembawang Dr?Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:i have seen digging going on from my house here but the area have not been fence up yet.still have to wait for one more year before the interchange is ready.
