Totally agree with you on fullface helmet. I myself am wearing a fullface.
Some people think it is cool to wear an open faced helmet, especially those Harley wannabe Phantom riders. Just think how cool you look with your teeth all smashed in and mouth and lips torn and all bloodied up.

I beg to differ. Quoting one incident is not enough as a proof to point out that there's no difference between full face and open face helmets. This way of thinking should be changed. Old timers should be the ones who comprehend the importance of wearing good quality full face and advise younger riders.Originally posted by Gent-X:Doesn't make a different whether a full face or the normal helmet. It does make a difference. The extend of head injury / concussion varies between FF and OF.Originally posted by Gent-X:Doesn't make a different whether a full face or the normal helmet. When it time to go ...you go...
It doesn't mean that FF protects the chin completely as that's the "hole" that we put our head thru.... hehehe However, a FF helmet prevents our face from being scarred by the possibility of a cracked visor which is a usual case in most open face helmet.Originally posted by aHGer^83:actually, ff oso got their bad point...
i had frens wearing ff, buanged @ high speed, their chin injury is ALOT worst den wearing open face.
yup. dat y depends lor...the helmet juz "poke thru" ur chin.Originally posted by shebiker:It doesn't mean that FF protects the chin completely as that's the "hole" that we put our head thru.... hehehe However, a FF helmet prevents our face from being scarred by the possibility of a cracked visor which is a usual case in most open face helmet.

abt 10 years ago i was riding on malaysia with a friend. we reach this place near kulai and there was an accident that just happen in front of us involving a motorcyclist and a lorry. so we slow down to stop. the rider was no where to be seen when we stop. i then saw this fullface helmet on the road side. moving towards the helmet, thinking of placing it away so that othe vehicles can pass through while mumbling to myself that even fullface helmet got thrown off in the event of an accident.
guess what, when i pick it up, blood was dripping and to my horror the helmet comes with the head! yes the rider head was cut form its body during the accident!.
sigh.....i faint after that.
Personally ever since the very 1st day i ride, i have been wearing full face. never did i once wear open face and ride... It is safer.. especially ger when face is almost our everything..Originally posted by jonchao72:do girls prefer full-face helmets?
