yeah got ... but does it actually work? is there a chance that the TP would waive the 3 pts? I mean the money is not so bad (although $120 is alot) but the 3 pts is the problem.. my dad dont wanna take it, i also dont wanna take it.Originally posted by kopiosatu:if i'm not wrong it should state in the fine on where to appeal.
that's what appeals are for. appeal and wait for the result.Originally posted by angelicpenny:yeah got ... but does it actually work? is there a chance that the TP would waive the 3 pts? Its double continuous zig zag lines in front of the building. No stopping at all times!!Originally posted by angelicpenny:I recently needed to go to Cantonment Police station to make a report. I wanted to take MRT but my dad wanted to send me. He dropped me off in front of the station and went off. He got a traffic fine of $120 and 3 pts for stopping those few seconds.
But the fine states "stopping in a no stopping zone" leh... not stopping on double zig zag yellow lines... i dunno... never received a fine before so i dont even know how its stated.Originally posted by Troy437:Its double continuous zig zag lines in front of the building. No stopping at all times!!
ok thanks. I'll write in and try to appeal. Hope it works. This is a waste of time. Help police and get this kind of thing in return.....Originally posted by kopiosatu:that's what appeals are for. appeal and wait for the result.
State your reason why your dad parked there ... wait for a few days for their reply ... best is to go thru your minister ... go to your 'Meet the Minister' session which falls mostly on Monday @ 6.30pm for most districts ... Your minister will then write to TP on your behalf ...Originally posted by angelicpenny:ok thanks. I'll write in and try to appeal. Hope it works. This is a waste of time. Ok Thanks Nick34. I'll give that a try. He actually didn't park there. He just dropped me off then the fine came "stopping in a no stopping zone". It's abit stupid to be honest... who knows Cantonment is a no stopping zone?Originally posted by nick34:State your reason why your dad parked there ... wait for a few days for their reply ... best is to go thru your minister ... go to your 'Meet the Minister' session which falls mostly on Monday @ 6.30pm for most districts ... Haahaha... this one abit tough lah because its at Cantonment Police station... but I am going to try to write in or else I really got to take the 3 pts coz its the police officer who called me to go there make report.Originally posted by chong-ster:there was once i parked my dad's car at yellow line... but didnt use coupon... came down kana liao because i thought i would only take a few mins to rush back to my home to get sth...
then i decided to try my luck. cooked up story say sth urgent happened at home... had to rush up.. no choice but to park there... dan i sent it by e-mail to the town council..
few days later the chairman of the town council replied me and said he helped me to revoke the fine liao... yah lah although our story very different. but im just letting u know u can try explaining ur reasons...
no stopping zones either have the no stopping sign, or more commonly nowadays, double zigzag yellow lines on the side of the road.Originally posted by angelicpenny:who knows Cantonment is a no stopping zone?
You got a point there. I tried writing to Ubi already. Lets hope it goes ok.Originally posted by cannypie:Good luck on your appeal! But I seriously think finding MP is the best and safest way. Cos' govt board also need to give govt board face mah...
They sent me a postcard thing back saying "your letter is receiving attention"... so that means i temporarily no need to pay the fine by 12 May as stated initially right?Originally posted by Gent-X:just tell them your dad car stall and can't start for a few seconds when appealing;p
yes you are right ... no need to pay until further notice ... it will come soon ... stating if your appeal is successful or notOriginally posted by angelicpenny:They sent me a postcard thing back saying "your letter is receiving attention"... so that means i temporarily no need to pay the fine by 12 May as stated initially right?
