  I did it once a few yrs back when the traffic rules is not this strict like nowsaday. 160km/h for car....... nowsaday don't dare to try liao, cos cannot afford to get 'kantong'.

  Well think it really gotto depend on the car lor....i mean a normal 1.6l car can never hit 200km/h lor......unless u wanna kill it.
  
  By the way dakar...... what road did the lexus used to hit 200 plus? AYE or Chua Chu Kang?

  I reckon the best stretches to speed are the road that leads out of Changi Village which goes around the Changi Hangars and the TPE. They are both relatively straight and if you're going to max out the car you better not do it on meandering roads.
  
  Atti, I believe most modern 1.6L cars will be able to get you to 180+, but you'll need A LOT of road to get you to the 2, don't expect more once you hit it.

  Sutats...... well u may not be rite cos the car i drove when travelling at 160km/h is a 1.6 .....however its auto, thus at 160, it would take another distance for me b4 i can hit 170km/h (the speed is stressing to increase liao) ....... let alone 180km/h ..... thus, i decided to drop speed liao cos the engine of the car will be stressed.

  Dear Atti, well from experience I managed 170km+ with my automatic '92 Toyota Corona. It was also raining, and the air conditioner was on, and I also had a passenger. Well, I guess there will be discrepencies between varying types of 1.6L cars.

  Yeah, I have to agree. I do 170+ easily on my EK Civic Ferio non-VTEC 1.6, air-con etc. Get's pretty damn scary and unstable though. I've just got another car, old EG6 DOHC VTEC, but not yet pushed it. Hmm.... oh yah, fastest not very fast. Passenger on friend's Silvia S14 at 220+. He says he can go 260. Ok whatever; that's nice.

  Hey, I just topped my previous top speed. I recently managed 230Kmph (Definitely not in Sg). The 230Kmph was managed in an AU-spec Integra Type R and it was holding out at 7600RPM. No chance of going faster. The good thing is, I won't have to try it again, well at least not until I can get my hands on another car.

  YOU SIAO AH YOU THINK ALL CARS CAN GO UP TO 300KM/H. IF I GOT A SUPER CAR THAT CAN GO THAT SPEED, I WON'T BE LIVING IN SINGAPORE.

  i think SP kena TP mark until damn chia lat.
  i kena caught 2 times in a week. one time bo p plate then 2nd time speeding.
  now wait letter go court.
  i only run 136kmh in 90kmh limit. scared kantong licence.
  my top speed so far only 16o++kmh only...
  maybe i too heavy.
  now i safety rider....

  okay. okay. let me speak...
  
  i hit 145 MPH on my 1993 CBR 600 F2-- that's about 230 KPH. i was going to go faster but i ran out of road!! at that speed your head wobbles and your knees shake, even on a big bike.
  
  i hit 210 KPH in a Maserati 3200 GT (V-8, twin-turbos) that i borrowed from the dealer-- on the AYE just a month ago. the car was barely up to 3,500rpm, so how fast you think it can go? 300KPH?
  
  my GSXR-750 could easily go 165MPH (265 KPH), but who cares? it runs a 11 second quarter-mile, and that's a 1990 bike!!!
  
  the new ZX-12R will kick ass on anything, but never ridden it. i like my 125cc!!!!
  
  you do it a few times and forget it. speed is great, but hanging corners is the best.
  
  if you wanna talk about speed, get a big bike!!!

  well, driving a Ford Falcon, i put the car to "power" and stepped on the pedal... when we finally overtook the damned road train, i looked down saw we were around 180km/h
  
  later, another maniac friend took the car to around 200km/h and the engine cut out and came back on at around 150km/h... probably some kind of safety system?
  
  another maniac friend took his dad's Holden Commodore up to 196km/h (digital readout) and it refused to go faster....

  Rode a bicycle at 40km/hr, motorbike at 180km/h, car... being passenger by a malaysia's private cab, its a proton wira, 140km/h at BKE... hehe
