Wah Lau...!!!!

Super old thread... I thought it was lost and gone when this forum went for a overhaul! ha ha...
I was replying to this thread when i was a P plate and now I'm holding the class 2A and is still replying to it!
Kinda brings back good old memories, doesn't it?

Thanks to the
NEED FOR SPEED, I almost lose my license two years ago, if you all caught my earlier replies to this thread.
I was caught for speeding along ECP @ 136km/h. this ended up in court where I got 12 demerit points and a $600 fine.

if your speed is 40km/h or more above the road speed limit, it'll be a court case for you. for me, the limit for ECP is 90km/h, therefore 136 -90 = 46km/h = court case.
during the court case back then, there were some people who were caught travelling @ 90km/h along roads with 50km/h limit, it's also the same case. so it's no matter what speed you're going, as long as you're 40km/h above the speed limit, straight away Court Case. and it'll be very risky for P platers, you might end up losing your license as well.
well, for my personal record up to date,
my ex-NSR150SP has taken me up to 180km/h (that's along the long straight road after Changi Village towards ECP/Tanah Merah Ferry Point. that was 2 years plus ago, but now i heard that TP has been watching that road and placing both speed cams and ambushes there, so best not to try there anymore).
my current CBR400RRN has cleared the speedometer so i'm not sure what was the speed i was going. the maximum shown on the speedo was 190km/h, so i can make a safe assumption that i was going @ 200+km/h (this was along BKE, just returned to S'pore after pumping petrol in JB).
well, i hope my reply made good leisure reading for you. take care now and ride carefully!
