barely ride for only 4 months and i have to get into this kind of shit. feel really fuck up unlucky.
One thing i need to understand is that when you plead for leniency, don't the court need to know on what ground that you deserve leniecy, don't you need to explain anything at all?
you mean that all i have to say is "I plead for leniecy"...
the tension is really getting to me!
I'm hoping really badly that my licence won't be revoked... this is all i'm hoping for now.
I'm sorry about your verdict, but to be frank with you, if i receive the same verdict i'll be relieved like fuck! no joke about that! Don't worry, time will pass by very fast and before you know it, you'll be back on the road again.

Well yr situation normally wun get kantong but yr case is that u r p-plate, thats why i am not sure. By rite p-plate is not allow to make big mistake, wonder if yrs is considered but it involves court, so think consider rather big offence.
But let me tell you one sad fact abt getting license kantong in S'pore, that is chances are that u will never get back yr license again, no matter how good you are. They let you take yr test but will never pass u. Seen a few such cases already. E.g one of my dad's friend got 20 yrs of driving experience, caught drink driving. Now the revoke period is over, he tried to get back his license for a few yrs but still haven't passed! Not becos hes lousy, its becos he's being marked.
Inconsiderate driving is as bad as reckless or dangerous driving. 9 points, fine plus suspension. If suspend for 1 yr or more, it automatically mean revoke!

Well on what ground u plead for leniency? well let me put it this way lar. U plead or dun plead its the same, the judge not going to care abt u, and yr outcome is still the same. And oh worst still, if u pissed him off with those lousy excuse, he's gonna get real angry, and might get back-fired. So dun play play.
He would only ask you on what ground u plead for leniency when u give him a whole load of yr story. If not, u just plead guilty (actually u r caught red handed, how to argue), and plead for leniency. He won't ask you any qns, straight away give you yr verdict.
Yah, think thats abt it.

I know what its like, for you to feel now, and its hard for u not to think abt it. But theres really nothing much u can do now, so just enjoy yrself this mnth, b4 u go to court. Ride everyday lor, until the last drop of petrol is used up and yr pocket bursted. The rest just pray for the best, Frankly speaking, I personally feels that its 50-50 lar, maybe not as bad as u think.
By the way u care for a short intro here? Think u r only abt 20 yah? Now at this point of time can only have ourself to blame lor, a moment of mistake.

you're right, i'm trying to ride as much as i can. it's sad though that anyone have to go through this.
I think the government should relax a little on p plate rider/driver, it's only fair since they lack the experience and bound to make stupid mistakes like mine. And I think that it's unfair to take away anybody's licence. to suspend is reasonable but to revoke for such cases like mine is totally uncalled for.
this is so sad that i can't describe it.
anyway, Atti, how are you getting along? time will fly by very fast and soon you'll find yourself on the road again. Take care when you do, don't make the same mistake twice.
i've another friend, aprilla rider, who had been caught by tp recently for speeding at 150km/hr and well, what can i say, he's in the same boat as me.

Don't mind i say something ...... yes i do agree that TP should be more relax on P plate, and not suka suka revolve some1's mistakes unless really seriously offence did on purpose. But, speeding is definitely not a stupid mistakes. I mean, lets admit it, most drivers and riders need to have the need for speed. We know it when we speed, but we still do it. Yah, i do agree, speeding at most suspension enuff, unless really go overboard by a lot. Kantong is far to serious, consider the amount of time and money spend in getting the license.
As for yr friend, wonder if he's p-plate but it doesn't matter. 150km/h is sure kantong case, no need fight. Even if hes on expressway, 90km/h, 150kn/h would mean 60km/h over the limit. Straight revoke. Think he will really feel like shit now. You and i can understand that.
Frankly speaking i am not getting on fine lor......... 2 weeks liao and still feeling very lost. But definitely better than the 1st few days....... more for me to come. Rest assured, i won't make the mistake again cos i might not be so lucky to be alive the next time round.

I think ur case is not that serious i think u should get 12demerit points i went to LTA website and check,i saw that its 12points + court.somemore u r at lower 12points range coz 41-60 above speed limit is 12points and ur are over 46km so if they really kantong u can stil appeal but it will cost u a bomb but ur frenz bo bian liao. -

I didn't get kantong!!! I just can't describe the feeling to you all!!! Now when I ride my bike, it's a totally different new feeling. But of course I'm still stuck with 12 demerit points. Just have to be extra careful, but that won't be a problem, considering that I'm already so thankful to keep my licence. I got a $600 fine, but it's nothing to losing my licence. When the judge passed the sentence, I really want to shout and run up there and kiss him.
The judge said that he won't suspend licences, he'll only disqualify licences. He said that only the TP will suspend licences if there is a need to. Do you think my licence is still at risk here? Somehow I still got this uneasy feeling inside me that i can't shake off. Still kinda worried actually.

Thank you! Well, things aren't getting any better between me and misunderstood. Things are in fact getting worse. She said that since my court case is over, I shouldn't have any more stress and that i must quit smoking if i still want to be with her. But she doesn't really understand, does she? I really wanted to celebrate with her after my court hearing but she does not want to see me. Well, this is life, isn't it? You can't have the whole cake and eat it. Sad but have to accept it and wait for her.

1st, let me congrats you for keeping yr license
can understand yr feeling, really.
Well frankly speaking, from what i know, the judge does not use the word suspend, its true!!!! he only uses the word disqualified, also true!!!! but when he say disqualified for 3 mnths, its as good as saying, suspend for 3 mnths!!! so i dunnoe what that judge of yrs trying to prove. No matter if its 3 mnths, 6 mnths or 12 mnths, he will used the word disqualified. But 3 & 6 = suspend, 12 = revoke.
Is yr license still at risk? hmmm...... not for the court side but still, its still a risk for you to ride on the road now cos u got ZERO points. any small mistakes caught red handed now by any TP would still meant a striaght revoke cos u r still P plate after all. My advise to you, be extra careful in riding now or dun ride for these few mnths till u get back yr point or p plate is over.
i dunnoe abt TP suspend pple, cos normally al the proceeding have to go through court 1st, be it drink driving or speeding....... so i think the judge that day on her hearing is another nerd!!! dunnoe much abt traffic also.......sigh~really wonder how he become a judge, esp traffic side.
I also know how it feels when u r in joy, u would really want to celebrate with the one u really love. I was surprised that misunderstood and u haven't get any better. Well then allow me to put it this way lar, maybe u really hurt her too badly the other time. If she doesn't want to see u, then u go and see her then! Action speaks louder than word. I am sure she will 'forgive' you soon.......... as for smoking, hmmmm.... for sake, maybe u can try cutting down, dun need to quit totally yet lor, show her u r willing to change. (by the way, i just got home from riding the night away, the magic feeling) Atti: thanks a lot man! you're one cyber friend i can't do without. by the way, the judge that day was a man, not a woman. I catch your point. So in a way, my licence shouldn't be at any risk of being suspended, can i assume that? well, for the problem that lies between misunderstood n me: i don't smoke in front of her. at one point i was really able to convince her that i've already quit for good. But I'm not one of those who can maintain a lie and be cool about iy so...
:p She feels that i'm too obsessed with my bike. she just told me off n told me to go marry my bike. can't help it if i love riding.
i do not neglect her, not in the least. i went to NUS all the way from my camp in kranji just to have dinner with her and to send her home, but that is not enough for her. she wants me home immediately after sending her home and she calls to spot check.
well, i can't resist a late night ride on a deserted road, can't i? so the problems continue...

well i heard that u licence never kena kantung, lucky for u! i hope u r not the one that i caught for speeding, s'pore has no where to speed man... sien for me also even duo i'm a tp but also sien for me but u guy must think about ur love one before u guy speed up. i've lost my girl coz she speed at this cte n had bad injuries n died on the spot of the accident that make me want to stop all those speeding by not giving ticket but to show photo on how accident happen n the injuries sustain. Damn.....horrible if see also scared to ride bike...last of all ride safely guy wish all good luck on ur bikes.
