Does Top ends really matter???

Top ends??? it really doesn't matter....straight line racing??? its a breeze, really...no point talking bout top ends when we corner SSDC/BBDC style....really, if u guys really wanna test ur skills, my recommendations are tt there r a few "circuits" in s'pore alone for u to try ur skills on de bike....no matter wat bike u're riding...be it RXK135, if u got the skill, even CBR900 also can kena makan...been there, done dat....trust me....

Actually, let's says there is a good rider, can lap any corners, play zickzack or watever, so if the bike is those buay gan want, do u think he can perform his best? I dun think so...If, the bike is a good bike, the rider dun dare 2 lap corners, play zickzack also buay siew, also cannot mah! Wat my view is that, bike is a combination of the rider & the machine, doesn't means that the rider is good, that means he is damn good, or how about the bike? Nobody is perfect. As 4 top speed, wat I think it's better 4 those superbikes, as 4 smaller bikes, top speed doesn't really matters.

Okie, so is it true that once the bike pick up is fast, then the top speed is not that fast? Or, the top speed is there but the pick up not there? I mean 4 small cc bike.

The bigger the tyre, the more contact and grip between the tyre and surface. Thus, increased stability..but with more contact and grip..it would be slower. Thus, less contact and grip, the faster the bike will enter and exit a corner. About the acceleration part, gear ratio can be adjusted to suit oneself's capabilities. Changing a sprocket size to a bigger one would improve acceleration speed but decrease the top end. Good example is scrambler's sprocket. Notice how big it is?

My opinion is...what ever bike...any rider is riding...he have to have the spirit of racing...and not just any boasting freako who say this say that... and race on the road like nobody business...i consider a good rider to be one that ... know how to be defensive and offensive when riding... his bike, and also he have to really knows that he can at least a 95% control of his bike. and he must also have respect to other bikers... basic manner... u respect others .... others respect u... if a rider can't do all of the above then basically they are just another one of those... imbecile, idiotic, hellrider where their mom never put a brain in their head.. when they came out..

Actually for racing, smaller tyres are a preferred choice as the advantage of gaining distance in a corner is very vital. Notice how small are the tyres of the bikes in GP..take a look at the 125 or 250cc class. For example, PG races, the bikes like Mito and Aprilia have their rim change so to enable tyre sizes of 120 to be fixed!

Actually it has to suit your own preferrences. If you feel confidence cornering with a smaller size tyre, why not? well, everything has its pros and cons... I would choose a good 120 tyre. Just my personal view
