what do u mean by break in period?? machiam running in ur bike when first buY???Originally posted by roger:all these stories you heard are just bullshit made up by somebody.
reputable tyre manfacturers such as dunlop, michelin and bridgestone are concerened with their product. all sorts of testing and quality control are implemented to ensure the good performance of their tyre.
if a rider follows the type pressre and ride properly during the break in period, there is no reason why these tyres cannot last.
correct or not
Y.k tyres will crack ciz they are overdue.. tyres have a shelf life and a usage life also..Originally posted by YaoKuai:And idea how does the threadings on the tyre affects its performance?
I know tt threading is to provide grip, but there are so many kind of desings on the market, what kind of design tt makes the tyre more superior?
Some experience with some brands, not to condemn them but juz my bad luck...
DUNLOP, the tires exploded at high temperature, when was travelling along the North-Sounth Express in M'sia;
MICHELIN, its branded and well liked in the racing world, but the tire cracks more easily compared to others, some experts says tt b'coz Michelin tires are not meant for ASEAN weather, how true is it?

the wax is a natural part of the tyre rubber. it is not advisable to scrub it off. just ride normally and do not use maximum speed and cornering angles.
