Hi guys me again... post this question on the other tread but no reply, so start another tread sorry ah waste space...
I'm goin into NS next year July++...
then maybe next year Feb buy a SP liaoz....Wat I worried is the installment lorz... as u all know NS only $200 per month how to survive!
So would like to know any advice or juz to hear how you all manage your lao pao's installment...

plan, time to plan, u c , r u still going to get pocket money or not, and also wad r yr spending habits, will u startve becoz of bike and do u haf a GF? u may not knoe. probably u will change yr mind by then....maybe u might upgrade n get a 4 stroke? or u r so sian of bike tat u get an vespa for transport.......
if u so afraid and u r sure where u r going, start saving now, still got 2 hoilday season, not too late yet.... -

simple, minus the downpayment which is about 1k, then see how long u want to pay lor, dun think 2k means 2k, alot will go, onto the bike, not the instalment, but petrol, servicing all those things, if u dun pay attention it will run dry someday...

If u put $2000. Instalment roughly $180-2 yrs or $130-3yr. This one agak-agak onli but ard there ah. Must see the price next yr, drop ornot.
U must plan and save ah...from Feb to June, to cover for the forthcoming months.
Wat I would do is, downpayment 2K in Feb. Bound for 3 yrs($130 pr month). From Mar to June, save abt $1000(work part-time). When go NS, use NS pay to settle monthly instalment. If not enuff, then use the savings abit. In this case, it is better to bind for 3 yrs as u never noe when u need xtra cash....mab for maintenance....
just a thought.....

First thing...you think hard hard first. you sure u'll just be riding for this 1yr...or maybe u sure u stick to tis one and only bike? If yes, time to start saving up now. haha. save for downpayment lor...can down how much..down how much. but of cos, like what operator said, must haf some spare cash one lah. den...instalment...up to u loh. 2yr or 3yr.
but...one more suggestion from me...loan from ur parents lor..no need pay interests to them mah..hahaha. persuade them to loan u. tell them with the interests..the bike will be more expensive by how much how much...den they will consider loaning u liao. but if u really wanna try this and it backfire.(eg. Mom/dad:"No money then dun ride bike! you better dun go buy if u cannot afford!") den...ur own problem

From what i think, don make decisions so early, its way too early... u might not know, skally last min no $$, or can't save that much, whatever shit... must remember leh, u die die oso must eat, spend, play, go chiong, no need $ meh?
I think when u now can save how much save how much, when take licence liao then say lor. And try not to buy 1st hand bike lah. U sure lugi. And i tell u lah, once u ride bike, u will never stop one lah, especially in NS, u no bike, wear the fucking uniform and duties here and there, in the end u wanna take bus home meh? Right? And don wanna change 2A is BULLSHIT lah. U will sure gianz when time for u to take 2A. I last time oso say don wanna ride 2A. But when u ride 2B long, u will definitely say the power not enuff lah, this lah that lah, wanna change 400cc for more power lah. Especially when u ride ur friend's 400cc that time, ur feeling will be like, (WAH! Damn power man, must upgrade must upgrade, if not sia sway) SURE ONE i tell u...
And u can sell away ur bike, but if ur installments still stuck alot, who wanna buy? They rather spend another $1K to buy a 1st hand bike. And by that time, SP dono value drop how much liao... u cannot predict one lor... i just wanna say, if u can afford it, u buy. If u are not sure donno can tahan anot, buy a cheap transport sua sua ke. -

i heard that by the end of this yr...all 2stroke bikes are not coming in liaoz...they wanna change all to 4 stroke....nsr150sp now stock production liaoz...they wanna bring in 200 cc one....4 stroke...
i dunno true or not leh...ppl told me one....
dun scold me ah...if wrong infomation...hahasianz man....still hve to study...haix...boringz -

If I were you .. maybe buy Aprilia second hand ... no need to vrooom-vrooom or race on the street ... the most important .. aprilia is really sportbike ... and big oso ... got more money, respray with nice design lor ... ..

choosing a second hand aprilia is always a risky choice. most of those early models are likely to be abused by the previous owners.
problems with the starter motor, power valve and clutch plates are common problems. try not to be over excited about new paintwork on old aprilias, usually they are there to cover up the engine's major faults.
by the way spare parts are expensive too.
as for whether u should get other bikes, i think only u can do your own financial planning. weigh the cost and benefits b4 making a decision. -

hi guys.....i'm new around here, and I'm considering getting a Phantom 200 1st hand. I'm now in the midst of getting license. I have already calculated very clearly that i would save til around 4.6k when i get my license. And will still be having AT LEAST 200 bucks every month from then onwards...
i'm guessing that a new 200cc will cost ard 6.5k - 7k in a few months time? I intend to get a 2 yr installment plan, from Looi's(heard that its a good shop, no chopping heads) and prepare to downpayment 3k and left ard 3.5-4k spread over 2 yrs. Its around 166 bucks per month. And I have allowances for the maintence n petrol.
So what do you guys think of my plan? Feasible ? -

As phoon is a good bike shop... they do business with ethics...say one thing do one thing...advisable to buy from them even if thier prices sometimes are not the best around... i also bought my bike from there..Originally posted by TZR: -
