i saw a topic on tekong resort..so i start another one..thomson road resort(Police academy)hehe...i kana posted that..in april 30th 2002
i got a couple of Questions to ask..u guy if u happened to be one of them..
Q1)how long will the training in PA be?
heard its 4 mths other told mi 5 mth..
Q2)how much my pay ah? supposing i haf 2A and 2Ao level passes. post is sergent rite?
Q3)most importantly.wat type of training will i received??
Q4)which units can i choose to go after the training?
hehe alot of Q but mi curious mah..first time go NS... -

1)if pass fitness test, then BMT is 4 and a half months.if not its 6 months BMT.
2)your cert all half half, only CPL. no seg for you. beginning is no rank, they call it SC=special constable. pay only$240.
but after 1 yr when promoted to CPL then is $320 plus allowance. which adds up to around $430 to $480.
3)trainning got a lot....
PT, Revolver(gun), TKD, Defence tactics, swimming, SOC...and also Law Lessons.
its like half day work out and half day Law Lessons one. sometimes even got night class one.
its damn f..k..g tiring one. sur efall asleep during lessons.
4) lastly, b4 you pass out, there will be officer from different units to come for interviewing you all traines.if you feel like going to that unit then try to sit for an interview loh. but not confirm go in that unit one.
so, its not up to us to choose which unit to go.
btw, you enlist april, think is because you pass fitness test right? then BMT is 4 and a half months. but might extend a bit, cos that period go in, you comfirm kenna NDP marching one.

btw about that serg stuff is 1 guy told mi 1..he told mi if got full A level cert den cfm serg.. -

Pay for NS i think $280/month
Sergeant must diploma. A levels 2 credits must see hard to say. Most prob corporal.
Training will be on Police knowledge, Law, PT training, martial arts *teakwondo*, weapon handling of .38 revolver, etc etc
Units u cannot choose, just like army, they see which suits u then u go. But think got interview 1st.
And lastly, i am not a police myself hehehe just many of my friends are in Police Force.

ok. if full A level cert of full diploma cert, then will confirm promote to sergent. but including IPPT pass and shooting pass too.
