Ooh .. I tot the clear meter is when the smaller millage meter back to zero again ... (cos we talking about run in maah) ..

This morning I do full throttle in 4'th gear about 4-6 secs ... wah so power ..

.. cos the manual said I must drive briskly upon reaching 1000km ...
Read this (from blk454 - sgforum):
Hi there , hope this would help . According to the owners manual
I have quotes '' RUNNING-IN >> ........Running-in maintenace at
1000 km is designed to compensate for the intial wear .
Timely performance of the running-in maintenance will
ensure optimum service life & performance from the engine .
The General Rules >>
1. Never labour the engine with full throttle at low engine speeds.
2. Maximum continuous engine speed during the 1st 1000km must not
exceed 8000 rpm
3. Increase the maximum continuous engine speed by 2000 rpm
btw 1000km to 1600km. Drive briskly, vary speeds frequently
and use full throttle for short burst only. Do not exceed 10,000 rpm.
4. Upon reaching an odometer reading of 1600km, you can subject
the motorcycle to full throttle operation. However, do not exceed
11000 rpm indicated by the beginning of the tachometer red zone . ''
So no need to maintain at 5000RPM, it's a torture to ride the bike at this RPM, especially at expressway and up slopes.
Moreover the powervault opens only at 6000RPM, where the engine will sound muh smoother and there's lots more power.
If the vault is closed often, it may choke easily, which explains for the rough engine sound at 5000RPM, and sometimes slow throttle responds at lower than 6000RPM.
When run in, the speed doesn't matter as long as the RPM never exceed 6000 ... 6000 in 6th gear should be around 90-100km/h rit (with no pillion)? Should have enough power already when riding in expressway ... :p
