How to maintain Phantom TA200?

  Using what engine oil?esso gold or castrol rs?approximately how long then have to change 4t?

  use knife brand cooking oil... 1 year change one time...
  
  heheh no lah joking.. erm u ride what bike? Try Mobil Racing 4T or GRO Rockoil. 5000km change or 2 months like that will be good.

  Gro rockoil????SIAO AR......UNCLE ITS 4stroke bike leh.........actually dun need to use good 1.......use esso pace good enough cos not racing bike.......if u wan use castrol RS bettler esso gold not tt good.......then every 1000km change oil lor.....if u feel gear changing or bike not tt good change dun need to often.......
  Phantom is a touring bike so dun need much

  By the way, how much u spent for TA 200? Hows the pick up? Now riding runner, a bit bored. Thought of getting cagiva planet, but think can forget abt it, quite ex.

  i think for running in, use mineral-based engine oil will do. reason is that during run in, if you use fully or semi sythentic, it offers too much protection to your engine. You shld use mineral based types so that it can "smoothen" your engine first. correct me if i am wrong

  i think its true run in dun use semi or fully and basically every 1000k change best coz.. ta 200 bike shop say easily heat up.. but its seems like for semi roughly 3000 to 3500 then syn is 5000? but haven't got to use so dunno yet.

  forget RS or expensive full syn lubs. Its an overkill for phantom 200.
  
  Semi-syn like castrol gps will suffice. Save more money per bottle and use the amount to do more frequent oil changes.
  
  RS per bottle inclusive oil change - ard $21 to 22.
  GPS per bottle inclusive oil change - ard $15
  
  Change the oil at every 3000-5000km intervals. Your engine will still be well protected.

  and yest sibeh suay, a small piece of black thrash bag stuck to my exhaust while i was riding... and now its stuck there, anyone knows how to remove it???

  Got a qns here. do you guys use bike cover for your bike?? I am wondering what kind of bike cover can i use. because hor.. phantom, after riding.. the exhuast becomes very very hot.. so if put the bike cover .. will it melt the cover??? any one has experience?? comments anyone?? =)

  i tot got one link mentioned about exhaust.. for me.. is best if just ride finish, best wait awhile then use cloth over stick try rub it off.. (dun wanna get burned here) slowly if first time can't remove.. over time it will i did come across someone mention using some lubricant pour over before attempting to remove so that won't stick back... in the process and cover think got cost twenty to thirty plus one.. got owner claim won't get burned.
