Yes, semi synthetic 2T can mix with synthetic 2T.
Not sure what 2T is good for the SP but the common popular ones seem to be the Castrol TTS, Esso and Mobil brands. There are a lot of other brands like Motorex, Plutoline, Motul etc etc. I use Yamaha's Yamalube for my TZM as it was specially formulated for Yamaha bikes.
My opinion is that the 2T you use depends on your riding style. If you do not rev your bike above 7000 rpm normally, then semi synthetic 2T is good enough. I used to use Castrol TTS but since I ride very sedately, a lot of oily residue gets trapped at my exhaust. Semi synthetic was more suitable for me, cheaper too. -

Shell vx no good........too thick....cos i tt time no 2t us VX...wan to drag cannot drag tt well...no so smooth in riding.....but i once change back to YAMAHA smooth drag again......Castrol tts DUCKHAMS Qtt Esso Gold 2t and the yamaha 1 not bad......So far i love the yamaha 1.....$12

use TTS la...tried n tested n recommended...a bit ex though...$14 at LAB...n once in a while whack yr bike (when c no TP around...rev till redline on maybe 1st 3 gears for a while each)...then should not have much carbon deposits...

Ask you huh. Is there any different if i buy TTs from BP or buy from Ah Boy?? One is $14 the other is $18?????? Got rumors that Ah Boy TTS is 'chiong' one? is it true?
