  Dear TZR,
  Do you have any advice for maintenance of TZR? I DIY except for wash carburettor
  I use Cabstar Rockoil 15W/50 for engine oil ,
  Silver-coloured ESSO 2T PACE( semi-synthetic).
  
  Some more pump ESSO 5000 ( octane 95). How do you upkeep the bike? I am really broke now. Only $75 in my acct now after the bike , insurance for myself and a trip to KL.

  Hi Joel, ok i am also no $$ person, so i use cheap stuff for my bike. U must think lor, we TZR is 10 year old bike, semi synthetic stuffs are good anough lah.
  
  Engine oil i normally use normal one i can find lor, i change it only when i think my changing of gears are very very rough... which is about 2-3 months.
  
  Plugs i use those $2.50 can oredi. NGK one.
  
  2T i use Esso Phase Green one, even cheaper than your Silver bottle one, hehe
  
  Your carb please wash it every 6 months. Coz TZR fuel tank, it will enter water on rainy days. That time i never service carb whole year, that day cannot start, carb and fuel tank stucked with too much rain water...
  
  Always bring an extra spark plug, some tools, alan keys, small spanner and screwdriver, just in case lah, u never know when it burns out lor.
  
  For petrol wise, ours is old bike, so using Octane 92 petrol will be better. Also can use 95 and above fuel, just depends on what u like lor.
  
  I ITE time everyday use Shell XO. But now i everyday use Shell Fushion 92. hehe
  
  And also pls check your radiator everyday. Open up and see if inside got water. TZR have a common problem, gets overheated easily.

  Francis, same problem with my TZR last time, rain water always enter my fuel tank, until I have to choke my bike and travel to the bike shop to drain the water out, too much water in the tank, engine keeps dying. Stupid problem.

  haha yah, actually theres one way to rpevent it, u know normally have thnose round plastics which car users uses them to stick on the windshield for their season parkings and rd tax?
  
  I use the plastic to cover the tank part.. just nice the size, hehe but lost liao... need to find another one
