Economic Recession... ...

  Dear friends,
  Beginning to feel the effects of economic recession. At my workplace, i learnt that a lot of people have lost jobs. Not just low-income, but white collar angmoh accountants have also been retrenched.
  
  HDB flats nobody buy , more pple go to Msia to shop , even SIA stewardess have stopped work. some women even delay pregnancy test to save on the urine test kit!
  
  S$ has been dropping. ( meaning less export and more foreign exchange being lost)
  
  Me oso. My pocket always empty now. Must all save more and stretch the dollar.

  i know nothing about economy, but a friend once mentioned that during times like this, consumers should actually spend more so as to help the country recover. By saving up instead, sales fall and the economy worsens.
  
  However, I suppose that goes against our intuition so nobody does it. It's a vicious cycle, I'm told. Economy drops, consumer confidence falls, sales fall, economy worsens... and so on.

  dun u tink tat every 2-3 years sure have tis thing???
  i tink its a muz lor..if not everything go so smooth...
  stock keep going up...
  rich pp keep getting richer...
  "some" richer pp more yaya(not flaming those rich pp hor.)
  poor pp become a bit rich....
  den who will do all those jobs tat rich pp dun wan to do?
  example= farmer, rubbish collecter, cleaner, toliet mantainer, delivery guys...many more.
  no farmer no food. no rubbish collecter n cleaner, the world become rubbish dam. ..
  in another words, do not look down on tis pp..they r useful to the world.

  I studied this trend by looking at the New York Wall Street crash in the 1940s or 50s.. totally crap cycle, people spend less thus other people earn less.. then those people spend less thus yourself also earn less.

  Hmm i subscribe to your theory. Perhaps i should change to: Stay at home and spend at home.

  I agree that we need to spend more to push up the econnomy, but at the current situation, the prices aren't falling much though. Prices still remain relatively the same as before except certain major departmental stores. Like that how to spend?? Food also still so ex, computer also, bike parts as well & worst of all, motodiam still chopping carrots..... *sigh*

  prob becuz of ppl like us who loves bike... that's why the motordiam can chop us...haha.. which i think we won't really want to live without a bike right?
  
  erm.... economy bad, best to sign on wif the SAF... haha.. ah-gong got money mahz. well.. save more.. and spend on things that worth it is the best.... like our motors...
