and i prefer one that has a tyres change coz my one bo ta liao ...

Look for alignement , look for oil leak at the base and tyre, listen to the sinuisoidal rhythm of the engine ( piston going to jam if sound abnormal), check the electronic circuits like ERP, check the exterior , check the tyre balding.... check how many owners from the website,Originally posted by subisisniki:other than checking exterior and having a test ride? what else shld be done?
More imptly, ride the bike yourself. If you ride alot of them , you will tell the good ones from those in bad condition. Best to bring a biker friend along -

check the front fork can go how deep by tieing a cable tie and jam front brake
see whether the steering clone got spoilt by leting go ur hand off the handle bar and let the bike move if cannot move in a straight line charm lah =x (or mi tou fo) -

apart from that exhuast isnt so impt as long as it is original and in gd shape cos one day u will do the pipe ur self.Put ur base of ur shoe and cover the exhuast hole,keep it there for a while and listen whether is the engine going to stall at the same time rev the throttle bit by bit.If it stall then better dun get the bike.tyres are impt negoiate to hell with them or pay abit morte to change to a better one.check the main frame whether has it been "buang" b4.brake pads also tests the brake c whether are they sensitive anot.lastly check the rectify and batt.rectify got to check the current flowing through is it between 7 amp to 9amp.best not to exceed 10 amp.batt leh i also duno how but ask him take out and c whether is it nice looking anot.hehehehe....

regarding covering the muffler hole to see whether the bike will stall.. i once ask the mech. as previosuly someone told me this b4.. i was actually told that this test is actually to see whether the welding between the exhaust stomach and muffler is welded tight enough.. there would be air leak from the joint if it doesn't stall..as i was told...as some exhaust system is welded together with the muffler some r joint by just screws..thus there r actually limitations in this test.. just a friendly thought. -

covering the muffer hole is the most basic test to a bike jus imagine if the bike cant even withstand a simple block are u goign to buy that?
