hi lao jiaos......can anyone of u tell me y is repsol the most sought after bike in class 2b? and by the way wat is 2T ar? 2-stroke n 4-stroke?

Cos its fast and design not bad but too common already. 2T is 2 stroke oil must top up one. 2T for 2 stroke bikes then 4T for 4 stroke.

but 2B alos must use 4T or gear oil....
2T for piston and 4T for gear..

2 stroke means the engine/piston needs 2 stroke to complete a cycle/movement
4 stroke means the engine need 4 stroke to complete a cycle.
therefore 2 stroke faster than 4 stroke..
but 4 stroke got more power( power and speed r 2 diff things.....to have one, the other must be compromise)

For your info, GP bikes like those Valentino Rossi riding all 2 Stroke Bikes, so do you think their bike lacks power?????

The thing about 2stroke is that the power comes faster than the 4 stroke. The power is quite true that 2stroke is more powerful than 4stroke. Come on..thing about it...it takes a 2stroke bike to produce power at every revolution..4stroke produces power at every other revolution. The word "stroke" is actually means a motion. But ppl confuses it with the number of pistons. If you thing...in one second one can go how many revs when you compare a 2stroke and a 4stroke 125cc....or 250cc..or 500cc. Let me tell you...the 2stroke wins. That is why pgm4 or rs250 can win RVF in pickup....

ever heard of scavenging? that is a problem that all 2-stroke engines face, no matter how intelligent or creative the engineer who designed the engine is, he cannot get rid of this effect. a 2-stroke engine can never efficiently expel all its exhaust, the details of which i won't go into, some fuel always gets ported out with the exhaust before the next combustion. hence poor fuel efficiency. 4-strokers don't have this problem. plus the cost of 2T? if low maintenance and high fuel efficiency is high on a bloke's list, 4-strokers, 2B or not, definitely do not suck in this aspect. and believe me, 2B 4-strokers offer more efficiency than class 2A or class 2 4-stroke bikes, per litre of petrol. ask around if you don't believe it.
as ah^huat has mentioned, the power for a 2-stroker comes faster, since there's 1 power stroke for every 2 strokes (full engine cycle); while there's 1 power stroke for every 4 strokes (full engine cycle) for a 4-stroke bike. this makes the engine very peaky, and have a narrower power-band. suitable for racing, but for normal road use? you decide. the power delivery for a 4-stroker, by contrast, is smoother, and with the larger 4-inline, or V4 engines, you'll get a wider power-band, with a larger range of rpm at which you have torque to play with. not quite the wild horse now, but a more comfortable ride. which do you prefer?
2B V2 bikes include the honda varadero 125 and shadow 125, yamaha virago 125 and dragstar 125.
it's all up to the individual. you wanna get started on a fast bike, have some fun while you're at it, but bear higher maintenance costs, get a 2-stroke. if you just want fuel efficiency and ease of maintenance, get a 4-stroke. i suppose everyone's heard of the process of burning carbon out of a 2-stroker's exhaust pipe?
ok i'm just generalizing here, but i think i've not made any wild sweeping statements like 2-strokers suck ass. i could be wrong, in which case, i'll stand corrected. hope i've not offended anyone here. both types have their virtues, just up to the rider to choose which they want.

Ok, I start from the beginning. Any mechanical student would noe that power is the amount of work(Joules) divide by time. It is very difficult to get a bike that gives you great power yet energy conserving. Why? B'coz, a certain amt of fuel can only give you a certain amt of energy. You want more power, you got to burn more fuel.
Next.... power is the product of force and velocity. You can see Force as pick-up/strength and velocity as speed. This is where you got to give and take. If you want better pick-up, you got to sacrifice top speed. Scrambler is a good example....
Enuff is explain about how 2 stroke and 4 stroke bike operates. I will skip that...
OK, 2 stroke engine are indeed much more powerful than 4 strokes, when comparing with an engine of same piston displacement( what we refer to as cc) becoz of its 1 rev, 1 burn as compared to 2 rev, 1 burn for 4 strokes. Why 4 strokes need 2 rev and 1 burn?? The first rev is to compress the fuel, the next is to burn it.
If you want a fast bike, get a 2 stroke. If you want solely for transport and easy to maintain, get a 4 stoke. -
wah seh, 1st time see ppl put those stuff they learnt in poly into good use for bikes.
