sport bikes or scrams???

hi guys,
i'm new to dis forum, and i'm aso thinking of getting a bike. 1st-timer too... dunno if i shld ride a sport bike or scrambler. I juz tried a scram, somehow feels quite scared riding it... dunno abt sport bike, pls help decide k? oh, becos i read thru the forum, and u guys suggested gers to get wr, or xr, i went to try wr... dat's when i felt it quite scary... -
gers not suitable for scrams.
infact, no one is suitable for scrams, scrams is suitable for scrapyard.
get sportbike.
i recommend you get nsr 150 sp.

gers not suitable for scram, unless you have exceptionally long legs, if not it's really not a good sight seeing you tip-toeing upon stopping (of course, this is DANGEROUS as you can't even stabilize yourself by putting your legs down ). this applies even for guys.

Its better to get a bike suitable for ur height. Let say if u r not that tall maybe get a sports bike or skipper. If u r tall, then shouldnt be a prob.

*gimme a five man* piak piak piak. presently waiting for snowballz and gsxr to get their license. If i am not wrong there is another ger rider (runner 180) here. but seldom see her post. I riding phantom 200 -
scrams r good 4 pickin up ridin skills
coz it take some skills to ride a scram esp in trailin
when scram riders change to sportsbike they can pick up the skills faster
and currently i might change bak to scram again but not dt200rr liaoz~ tis time its kdx

Fuel Consumption - 1 litre ard 25-30 km.
Reliabilty - ride for 5 months already. No major problem.

hee, ^5! anyway, originally i wanted to get a phantom too, but frens encouraged me to get a scram, so i thot, heck, juz try it... actually, i'm pretty anxious for a bike... but i think i'm gonna get so lost on the roads..! -

actually scrams are not bad... can run over kerbs when want to u-turn... run tru void decks to the road... no need to go one big circle. but then I no interest lah... prefer to play corner

operater--> ur wr need to kick ard 2-3 times den start?? tot most yamaha bikes one kick can start liaoz? my 200rr last time one kick start alreadi...even on cold days

if it is a good starter bike, then are you going to sell off the scram for another bike the moment you are 'good' on the road?
how long will that take? 2 weeks? 2 months? 2 years?
this is my experience.
my 1st bike is a phantom150, a cruiser.
my 2nd bike is a nsr 250, a sports bike.
on the phantom, the only thing i learned, was wat road leads where, and some basic traffic conditions as well as the driving habits of others.
on the nsr, i learnt alot more useful driving techniques and tips in 1 week, than i did in 9 months, on the phantom.
i personally think a sportbike is a better learners' bike.
but i also believe there is no such thing as a good learner's bike. it is how well you are able to adapt to the bike, the road, and the conditions.
when you get a bike, do not be influenced by others, it is your money, your interest, and most importantly, it is your bike.
honestly ask yourself. have you any interest in trailing? what is your purpose of getting a bike, be it scram, sports, or scooters.
and finally ask yourself, what bike catches your attention the most.

I once saw an FN for 4.9 K. Your FM should not cost you more than 4.5 k at least while FQ and FP should not cost more than 6.5 K and 5.8K respectively.
