Need Advice on Bike Problem

Hello. I have this problem, dunno if anyone can help.
I just bought a 2nd hand SP last week. These few days, I have a LOT of difficulty starting the bike in the mornings. I take 10-15mins just to kickstart it! I dunno what happened. Also, these few times, I noticed that there is coolant dripping out of the tube below when I kickstart. I dont think its gotta do with my fuel and battery, they seem ok. Can anyone give any advice?
Another thing....Can anyone gimmme suggestions to what paintwork is nice on the SP?

Regarding starting the bike, have you tried opening the choke then try starting the bike? If this doesn't work, then it could be that the spark plug needs to be replaced.
Are you sure your bike is dripping coolant? If so, then better get the tube replaced!
No idea about paint work. I thought the original design is pretty good? Don't see the point in doing painting as the cost is rather high. -
it may be ur tuning also after u check ur choke.by right sp is a bike that can be easily started.

that is the overflow tube...
you probably have too much coolant, or your coolant tube jammed...
as for kicking....
could be carb dirty, and plug on the verge of dying. go wash them, as well as get a new spark plug. NGK gold is good.
as for kicking.... er..... this got technique one lah. kick long liao then u will discover liao. not something that can be taught.

The coolant drips a bit every time I kick start. I really have no idea why. It was ok the first week when I got the bike. Then these past few days, cannot start bike, coolant dripping.....sigh....
I think I have to go down to the bike shop again. Hopefully the problem can be solved.
Anyway, the bike shop offered a repaint coz the bike's fairing scratched and some other parts too. Anyone got any paintwork suggestions?
I might wanna do up the paint work in the link below...suggestions anyone?

yeah i have the same problem as u. anyway the trick is to pull up the choke and keep on kickstarting for 2-3 times. however when u do this crazykicking, u have to turn ur key to the off position (not ON or LOCK).
After the 3rd kick or so, i usually have no problem to start the bike....of coz, u have to turn the key back to the ON position lah

when u on choke, bike shld start in 1 kick, if not.....

for SP must kick at least 2 to 3 times FYI

I just changed the spark plug....turns out it was the spark plug's problem....now the bike can start with one kickstart.
1) Are there any differences in the spark plugs? What's the diff between the normal type and the racing type?
2) For engine oil....what type of oil should I use? Like what type, brand etc....
3) What type of raincoats/pants etc is gd? Where do I get them?

I'm intending to change it to the link's paintwork...But actually, I'm quite ok with the repsol paintwork...But since the shop offered to do it up, why not.

1) Some people will tell you there is a difference, however slight. But I think using the plug as recommended in the bike manual is good enough. For our type of bike, don't think there is much discernable difference.
2) Engine oil brand is also another subjective topic. Different people got different recommendations. I think the more important thing is to do your oil change at the required interval.
3) The Arai rainsuit available from Chiap Lee is really good stuff. However, rather pricey compared to the Pro-Grip one available at LAB. I have the Arai one and it is holding up pretty well in our monsoon seasons -

I changed the spark plug....1st day it was changed the engine started with one kick....today, after 2 days i tried again...Same problem as b4...
Why is it like dat? I cannot kickstart with one kick. It took me like 10-15mins...or more...like b4. Also, there was slight dripping of the coolant AGAIN!
I'm really pissed off! I'm beginning to wonder if the bike was in good condition when I got it from the bike shop. Maybe there was some hidden problem I couldnt see. SHIT.

u nvr go check the coolant meh?
either too much, or the tube got some slightly jammed.
as for your kick thing... try washing your carburators and valve.
that and oso... must grab the technique..

actually different spark plugs got differences, altho some are quite slight.
for example, NGK gold/racing vs Denso Iridium. when using NGK, you'll feel more power during pickup, but when using denso, you'll feel more power at 6k and above.

paintwork. i'm not sure abt the name of the paintwork i saw.
but there is a really nice sp paintwork. at highland shopping center there. juz outside.. a pizza shop. go take a look if possible -
Ok...here's the latest....
I've just sent my bike to the bike shop. Going for repaint and to fix that bloody problem. Hopefully when I get it back, the problem would be solved. Or else, I'll kill the pple in the bike shop.
Dunno whether the paintwork will turn out nice or not...hopefully it does...keeping my fingers crossed.
T minus 10 days....
