Hello all,
Seriously haven't been around Racetrack for a long time cos rather busy. Now that i 'eat snake' and came in take a look at most of the post, allow me to make some comment. Of cos, i welcome all comments as well, be it flaming or not, heh..... i dunnoe.
Anyway, I am a driver (but i got nothing against riders, heh, emphasised 1st)........ i start to realise a trend in here leh. That is, many of you here, who are riders, got something against drivers, dunnoe why.
I am not here to start a quarrel but to give my point of view. I realise a lot of you pple (mostly riders) are very close here, which is really a very good sign.
But however, i hope the trend of riders hate drivers here can turn for a better. I read in some tread here that some of you guys here think that riders are 2nd class on the road (ermmmm forget which tread though, paiseh). Why have such thinking? We are all users on the road, we should keep a look out for each other. There are no 1st class or 2nd class users on the road, we are all road users and adults here, so we should take care of ourselves and responsible for our own actions.
I am sure many of you pple who got family members and friends who are drivers too, so i don't see why drivers must hate riders, riders must hate drivers. Ok lah, maybe the only 1st class road users are the TP, cos they got certain previledges but there's nothing we can do abt them.
So, i actuatlly dun see why this trend must carry on, so here i am, speaking from my point of view.

Very good comments i would say , but drivers are more reckless as they THOT they are safer inside , actually wat i personally , it all depends on ur own personality , dun you agree ?

atti, i think wad the brudders r commenting on some "drivers" and not all, personally i have some bad experiences as well, but then i mus agree tat certain drivers do take the safety of bikers for granted

some drivers can be realli good i must say.. haha.. but my friend also reckless driver.. haha... sibei sian, if meet him on the road.. but he drives really well i would say..

erm.. while you may be sensible to think as such, i'm sad that some others don't. of course there are many isolated incidents of bad sheep: one forumite in delphi just recounted how he almost lost his life due to reckless driving by a driver. but anyway, perhaps the fact that riders are closer to Death in an accident makes them more sensitive to the need for careful riding and careful driving by others.
but you still see bad sheep squeezing between cars (DANGEROUSLY) and speeding etc...
can never be resolved i suppose.. you can't please everyone anyway! just do your part and ride/drive safely... just took the safe rider's pledge today!

atti i am also a drivers and i do speed at times ... i think there is a mentality in everyone minds which is to speed ... who can stay on to the rule that state 90km/h on expressway and 60km/h on small roads <-- correct me if i am wrong as i also forget the speed liao ...
everyone tends to speed ... but i would like to say that everyone is using the roads and also they are responsible of their own safety
the above mention was what i have been reading and hearing since the 1st day i get my license so i bet nobody can change the fact ... -

i think most of those drivers who think this way are due to peer pressure or parents edu...
so... we can't blame anyone on the rd, cos basically, the rd itself is also a hazard to us...
But hope that the gov will educate the ppl (be it pedestrian, rider or driver) some 'rd ettiqutte'

but in my sch,got 1st yr gal drive SIR, another one drive WRX, i seriously wonder how they got it, sometime when heating bike and see them heating car, see liao also "zhi bei" hai... -

I think only some drivers lah... Not all drivers are that reckless & inconsiderate... If i should say, some riders are juz as bad... Drivers should at least try to give way to riders as riders are smaller vehicles on the road as i should say... At least think of the rider's "LIFE"... Driver dun die if they bang onto a rider but they rider might die juz b'coz of the driver... "4" wheels is sure to be safer than "2" wheels... Am i wrong to say that? If u want to be treated like a human being, act like one first...

ermmmm i am not actually that good lar, i mean i still make mistakes once in a while when i drive, so not really that 'safe' as some of u mention, haha...... just that i feel that life and staying alive is more important than anything on the road.
ermmmm yah i dun quite like taxi drivers as well but like what some says, not all are bad lar, so lets try not to sterotype them. can u pple imagine having to drive non stop for 8-10 hrs? Wow think i will be lazy and get frustrated by then also, heh.......i dunnoe. But yes, do watch out if driving behind them.
Bikes or cars, to me they're passions, not diff class.......... just like some pple like fish and some like vege. Nobody thinks eating vege is 2nd class, i mean, maybe they are even richer than those eating fishes.
I drive cos its my passion to cars ........ what abt u pple?
