maintenance results?

hi bikers, i m goin for a full service soon, jus wondering got any effects after washing carb, filters, valves, etc? for eg, speed faster, smoother n quieter engine?
cos this is my 1st time go service.. dats y stil dunno wat wil happen...

i ride for exactly 1 month liao..
my bike is bought 2nd hand lar...
but i clock more than 2000km liao leh..
i travel alot...
2000km per month quite chor rite??

how long usually then u all go for such full servicing? normally i juz go change spark plug and engine oil oni when i go service... any guidelines?

If u really LOVE ur bike, personally i would advise:
Spark plug, engine oil: once a month
wash carb, valves, filters: once in 1.5 months(2 times every 3 months)
2T top up when change engine oil (to play safe although there's low 2T indicator)
My timing is according to the mileage i travel lar... but if u travel very little no need to service so fast...

may i noe what is wash carb, valve...blah blah blah, then hor one thing very strange, I just put an air horn on friday, change engine oil. then I left my headlight on but note that engine is off. Today when I want to start my bike cannot start. Headlight also dim. My battery flat right? but then how come flat leh? on headlight, engine off also drain off battery huh? last time i also got like this but never flat leh. blur liao

4 stroke bikes doesnt need much maintenance,
cos the engine parts are more durable n cleaner n it does not need 2T to lubricate... u dun have to do wat 2 strokers do so much.. long long time go wash once can liao...
regarding ur problem, i tink is the batt getting weak or flat liao.. FYI, if u never on engine, the headlight is running on ur batt leh, very chi dian one.. but even if u on ur engine but never ride, also wil use up batt but not as much... It only uses the rectifier to recharge ur batt once u REV ur bike to move lor...

wah go fast muz service one ar? i heard change the spark plug oni once every 2 times u change ur engine oil and ur engine oil change every 4000-5000km if u r using good ones... full servicing cost how much? wat r the things to ask them do or juz say full servicing then they do for u? wat is the mileage guidelines?

actually not really must go 4000km... as long as u feel ur bike engine getting chorchor, n changing of gears like not so smooth can change engine oil liao
when u go to mech, jus ask them wat other stuff can they do for a full service besides changing of engine oil n spark plug, they wil tell u everything..
carb, valve, filters r the basic common things, i heard my fren say stil got many other small small parts...too chim liao..
but i tink basically the mechs wil do everything for u lor, provided u tell them properly, maybe can ask them to check ur coolant level, battery water level, brakes....etc...
many many other small things...

I maintain my bike every 10000km like spark plugs, engine oil, chain lubrication, carbretor, valves, poh ley mi etc... I give my baby the best that i could but that's last time... Now my new baby dun need all this...

i usually do the normal serivceing like gear oil/sparks plugs...but i know its is good to wash ur piston/block/valve/carba once in 10000km.i think cost abt 80 bucks or so...but take beri long time.muz have time to wait lor

Hey, you put air horn already? $33 is it. But did they install relay for you? If not, better go do it. Initially i did not put relay for my air horn, after insatlling it, air horn louder and battery won't flat so easily. I went to First Motor to fix relay, guess wat, next day bike cannot start at all, went back to them, towed back my bike, and they told me bat 'short circuit'. Lucky they never charge me for the towing, or else i sure complain. Now everthing in OK liao. -

Ha.. serangoon nth. Initially they wanna charged me for towing, but after some neg. they will only agreed to pay if they find up its their mech fault. So....... their fault lor Ha......... -

No, no charges and battery not change. But new bike how can battery problem so fast?? Relay they just do some wiring between horn and battery, not sure if theres a switch, cause my friend got switch, mine don't, or the switch is to switch between normal horn ans air horn?? I dont know??
