Motorcyclist dies after collision with car in Ang Mo Kio
A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a collision with a car Tuesday night.
Police say the mechanic was making a right turn into Ang Mo Kio Street 41 when he was knocked down.
The victim, identified as Richard Liao, was riding his motorcycle when a car driver collided into him.
Liao was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car driven by a 38-year-old technician, was travelling from Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 towards Avenue 1 at about 8.25pm when the two vehicles collided at the T-junction.
Police arrested the driver for negligence and later released him on a S$10,000 bail.
Witnesses can call the Traffic Police Hotline at 1800-547 1818.

Just came back from work and watch the news report on this accident. Yet another motorcyclist dead, is there no end to it????
Yeah, i take it as a given that riding a bike means mentally got to be prepared for something like this to happen anytime, anywhere. But nearly every other day also hear about somebody who hurt or died, really too much to bear....
Now really scared of watching news or reading the papers... scared of going to work even

was told dat 6 or 7 can get liaoz...but 4got to go collect..tot next day can ..haiz
guess u never knoe when is really the last time u tok to a friend eh..juz treasure the times spent wit ur friends..

i got really shocked when i saw the news..
because the bike is a gixxer.. those of you who watched the news should know that the camera pan from the back of the bike towards the front..
then juz now when i saw the bike, i tot is one of my friend who juz bought a gixxer, same model and paint.. some more my that friend also lives in AMK.. GAME OVER, u know who lah hor??

then after i saw the mobil 1 sticker.. i confirm its not his bike.. cold sweat dude..
anyway i juz now also skidded in multi storey carpark.. wet surface.. juz becareful these few weeks.. be real careful..
the weather will be bad these few days.. mild drizzling expected everyday.. juz a strange phenomenen that happen every year..

True, there are always two sides to a story but when something goes wrong, obviously someone is at fault.
And now we also know Richard had the right of way.
Surely it doesn't take you so long to put two and two together?

Eh! Enough is enough... Why cry over spill milk... Everybody doesn't want this to happen... What's the point of saying whose fault it is now? The person is gone... U all think u all point out the fault can bring him back to life ah? Stop all this & learn this lesson... One life to learn a lesson & dun u guyz think that it's a little too expensive... Make sure that his death teaches u all how to treasure yr own life...
